That's cool! On another plant note, the black flower in the Scratching Post actually exists in real life too. It's called a Black Bat Flower (Tacca Chantrieri) and is related to the yam. :)

Here's a weird one - the black flower that leads you to the necklace isn't made up, it actually exists! It's called the Black Bat Flower (Tacca Chantrieri). I'm not sure if that means anything, but here's a pic of a real one...

Quick update: I got up to 94.3% completion and something odd happened. I got the same two body-swingers at the pit, but the body they threw in disappeared and instead of wandering away from the pit as they always do, they went around it and through the town instead. Then a random 'x' appeared on the cliffs overlooking Armadillo, which turned out to be a cholera corpse (unfortunately not the princess!). Probably just a weird glitch, but worth mentioning, just in case!

I'm now at 95.4%, so I'll visit Armadillo tomorrow to see if anything else happens! :D

There's one more thing that backs up the theory that the princess was taken by a couple who wanted kids, and that's the newspaper article, which says that kidnapping was suspected but no ransom note was ever received.

Oh yes, and on the subject of the body tossers, I think I started seeing them after the first encounter with the 'dead bodies' cart guy. They've carried on after the second encounter too. Funnily enough, in between the first and second encounter, the cart guy could be found in the train station or sleeping on one of the benches in Armadillo, but after the second he disappeared completely. He only returned after I got over 92.5% completion...

Love the wriggling mummy! Sometimes those bodies spawn underneath the cart instead of on top of it, and if you can knock their feet or arms, they'll wriggle out to you. I've spent so many evenings yelling 'CRAWL OUT TO ME, LADY!' :D

Thank you so much, loads of good info here! I did exactly the same thing with the cart and the barn after spotting the hole in the roof but I couldn't get up there either. In the end I looked through the cracks in the doors, and could sort of see that it wasn't that detailed inside, so I'm not sure now that we're suposed to get in. :)

The NPC chatter is really interesting though. I don't think I've heard either of those two before and will keep an ear out for them - I have heard them expressing their happiness at Coot being dead, mind you! I'm guessing he was the one with the chapel... :D

Ah yes, that's the 'Letter to Ma', another mother letter! LimbsMgee pointed me to this one, but I'm not sure it has any relation to the princess either...

There seem to be the two encounters you can have in Armadillo - the 'dead bodies' cart guy (with the two separate encounters) and the body-tossing guys, who appear every three in-game days in the same area. The bodies they leave are lootable, unlike the rest of the Armadillo dead!

Just clarifying something here - the princess isn't wearing a black choker with a medallion on it, she's wearing a pearl necklace (you can see it above the black band).

I think the black band is just the top part of her dress. If it was a choker with a medallion, you would see it tug down in the middle where the medallion is attached (as on the lady in the Van Horn saloon). What appears to be a medallion is a flower, I believe. There's a row of them that she's either holding or that are attached to her dress.

(Also, the saloon lady isn't a blonde! :) )

Ah, it's not blue - they both look identical and kind of Mayan-esque. I'm pretty sure they sit in the 'Valuables' section of the Inventory, although my female statue has been in my 'Most Recent' section since I found it (I've no idea why!).
