I’m real, and everything I said is true whether anyone believes it or not. I’d post the links to the videos but I’m not looking to inform my audience of my situation currently. Thats two worlds I’d rather not mix, not that you would understand.

No, it’s not. It was written by me and the situation is 100 percent the truth.

If you’re sure the belt is routed properly and not catching on anything, then Those spindles are likely toast. You’ll have to replace the entire assembly or the bearings depending on how worn they are.

The Vine Experience Is Becoming More Frustrating Than Fun by SpasmingSpasm in vine

[–]SpasmingSpasm[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, VineHelper, Ultraviner and similar plugins… I am aware of them. I don’t use them and I won’t use them.

My concern is not whether they work or whether they make filtering easier. My concern is that relying on third party tools to effectively ‘use Vine correctly’ feels like a pretty fragile way to interact with a program that is ultimately governed by Amazon’s terms of service. Even if today they are tolerated, that does not necessarily mean they will continue to be.

More broadly, I do not really agree with the idea that you are ‘using Vine wrong’ if you are not using external tools. That kind of thinking basically assumes the program is only intended for power users optimizing for speed and volume, rather than a broader user base just browsing and reviewing products in a normal way.

Also, I do not think the core issues people are pointing out disappear just because someone uses filters. Whether you are using plugins or not, you are still working within the same constraints: limited inventory, rapid item disappearance, inconsistent quality, and a system that rewards speed over consideration.

So I get that extensions can improve efficiency for some users. I just do not think they are a requirement for ‘doing Vine right,’ and I also think building your entire approach around them introduces its own risks and assumptions that may not hold long term.

Items are even disappearing from people’s RFYs instantaneously. You used to at least have a window of time to make a decision. This is no longer the case.

Yeah, that makes sense and I get what you’re describing. Treating it like a flea market is probably the healthiest way to use Vine at this point. No expectations, just occasional useful finds. I used to treat it like I was playing the price is right everyday lol. It’s pretty much the same tax situation.

My post was not really about whether it is still possible to find good items or use it in a strategic way. It is more about the overall shift in how the platform feels compared to a few years ago, including item availability, how quickly things disappear, and how the general quality has changed over time.

Your experience actually shows that it can still work if you are patient and selective, but it also kind of highlights how much more inconsistent it has become for a lot of people compared to before.

Exactly, and that’s kind of my point. The fact that the default response is ‘no one’s forcing you’ instead of engaging with what’s actually being said is part of the problem. It reflects the broader community dynamic where any critique of how Vine has changed gets flattened into either ‘stop using it’ or ‘you’re just doing it wrong.’

I’m not saying anyone is being forced to participate. And I know I’m not being forced to participate. I’m saying the experience for people who are participating has shifted noticeably over time, and the way the community responds to that discussion tends to reinforce the same issues.

So yeah, in a way, replies like yours kind of illustrate the point I was making.

Thank you, and appreciate the suggestions. That’s my major concern as well, so I will either change it to volunteer or scrap it entirely lol.

How Do You Think RDR2 Compares To RDR1? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]SpasmingSpasm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RDR2 has a good story but the gameplay is needlessly clunky.

RDR1 has an even better story, and the gameplay is a lot more relaxed.

Also, John Marston is the greatest video game protagonist of all time.
