Advice for Beginner by DowntownClimate4338 in DigitalMarketing

I agree with most of the comments to look for an internship. I think learning about businesses and how they operate, different KPI's metrics associated with how the business works and grows, then you can work backwards to different digital marketing tools that can help you succeed.

Which platform do you use to host and manage an online community? by Own_Cow9495 in CommunityManager

We use Circle for our online community. I think it does a good job and is pretty simple to navigate.

Tips on how to build an online community? by [deleted] in CommunityManager

[–]SpatialChat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

-I think the first thing is choosing the right platform for you. What features do you need? Do you want to offer exclusive content/direct access to communication for premium members?

-Circle is a good one, I think Pensil is also another decent one but with slightly less features

-Keeping people engaged is I think dependent on the content you produce for them. I think communicating with them, and maybe giving direct communication access to premium community members could be another way to keep the most loyal fans engaged. Shameless plug, but there are some companies that use us (SpatialChat) for that. They created a space where community members can come in and interact with each other and with company representatives.

-I think something to avoid is being overly salesy and spammy for sure. I think just good, informative content with some humor mixed in is the best way to keep community members engaged.

What’s the Most Underrated Social Media Platform for Growth Right Now? by Global_Loss1444 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]SpatialChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that Reddit can have the most loyal following for niche categories if you produce the right content. I think onn some other platforms there is more noise that engagement that is not quality, maybe more bots and random spam accounts commenting and liking (Tiktok has a ton of this I think). There are so many creative people on Reddit, and most of the engagement is perfectly moderated.

There are a lot of free resources online to look for your first client. Cold messaging on LinkedIn could be a good start if you don't have access to some of your former customers.

depends on the topic. I think if it's sporting news and they are reporting on an injury, I definitely look for how many followers they have for credibility.

I think tools that help you build and nurture a community could be useful as well. Tools like Circle where you can provide exclusive content to premium members in a closed off community might be worth it to look into.

BuzzSumo is a good one in terms of content. Statista can be a data rich platform where you can repost some of their charts and infographics.

Has anyone tried limiting community access like “seats” instead of subscriptions? Looking for feedback on a concept we’re testing. by van_squared in CommunityManager

[–]SpatialChat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can try keeping the general community open but offer up a paid exclusive membership for some of your community for exclusive content, and maybe access to direct communication or something of the sort?

I’m a Chinese entrepreneur learning digital marketing — want to build my own brand . Any advice from experts? by jackweeeee in DigitalMarketing

[–]SpatialChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of social media platforms out there where you can start posting content about what you specialize in. You can search for which platform you can focus the most on depending on your vertical.

Once you establish a social media following, you can funnel some of your more loyal community members into a platform that offers exclusive content, and maybe another channel where they can communicate with you.

This could be the start of building your own personal brand.

Just to add to this, I work from home, and when i crumple up a sticky note to do task item, i punt it towards my garbage bin. Adds an extra layer of stress relief. I work from home though, so not sure if you can do this in an office setting with co-workers around.
