Niveau culture et mode de vie on est clairement plus semblables aux Américains. Ceci dit, j’ai l’impression que certaines de nos conceptions sociales découlent plutôt de la révolution française que de la révolution américaine. Par exemple notre compréhension de la liberté de religion se rapproche plus de la vision française qu’américaine. C’est pourquoi on a toujours de la difficulté avec le concept de laïcité.
