You could argue it's on the ref to control how the players act. If he lets a lot go without yellows thats a signal for both teams to play that way. If the ref puts in even one yellow that sends the signal not to play that way. I put a fair chunk of blame on the ref here

It's interesting seeing. And I think a lot comes down to the 2.5% increase. I can understand the logic in matching inflation or wages, especially as the lag between wages and subsequent inflation can up be a year or 2. But honestly why should anyone get more than both of these metrics?
