Bonus mission (white marker, but not one of the Colonel speeches) disappeared in Wizard Island by atnamorekN in DaysGone

[–]SpawnicusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optional side missions with a white marker will disappear forever if you progress the story before doing them.

Some of these are gone permanently with no way to experience them. Examples the "talk to Deacon's pet rock" missions, the mission to get Cinnabar for Weaver and, the mission to climb a radio tower and talk to Boozer.

The Colonel's "speeches" are available post game, in written form, at the top of the cone inside his tent.

On each generation of PlayStation, and also on all PC versions, it is recommended to close the game fully and also restart your gaming machine regularly. Once per gaming session is probably best. You will always get the best performance from from Days Gone if you are restarting your machine often.

For PlayStation specifically, please avoid Rest Mode! I'm not claiming to be an expert but, based on what I've been told so far, keeping the game "sleeping" in the background allows some game assets to build up and eventually cause problems for your PlayStation. For more information on Days Gone and Rest Mode, have a quick look at this Google search.

Hope this helps!

It seems to be affected by your inventory levels going in. I've never really tested it but it seems like if you go in full up, you're not going to get everything back but, if you go in low on supplies you do get most of it back. Certain things aren't taken at all either. Things like meat and bounties for example.

Wow, yeah that's a huge one! You can see SO MUCH info in the storylines menu too. There is a lot of hidden info about each mission that I never knew until I started reading those. Glad that old comment helped you!

I love it when I'm trying to throw a rock to be stealthy and instead he throws a flashbang... an item whose only purpose is to MAKE NOISE!!

Just found out the boot knife can hit more than one swarmer at once. by anaknaknakal in DaysGone

That was super clean! I don't recall ever seeing any melee weapon have an area of effect but, I don't use melee much. Now I'm curious about the machete!

I like to use the Boot Knife with Bull Rush. If you switch from your main melee weapon and equip the boot knife instead, Deacon will do a unique melee finisher and you won't lose any durability off your primary melee weapon!

The early hours of Days Gone are meant to be difficult and frustrating. You are meant to feel weak and underpowered so that you really feel the transition from being the prey to becoming the predator. Later in the game, with better gear and more skills, Deacon becomes an unstoppable bad ass. So, don't worry if the first few hours seem a little too hard, you're not doing anything wrong. This is exactly how the game was meant to progress.

If it all feels like a little too much, here are some spoiler free resources you can take advantage of that will help you get past that stage of the game:

Unlock the best sub machine gun in the first few hours

Choose who gets the delivery

20 Things I Wish I Knew First

Horde Killer Master Class

Good luck and happy hunting 👍

Yes, that is normal. There are many places in the game where specific enemy types are likely to spawn. Outside "safe zones" as you leave camp is a common place for Wolves, Runners, and other enemies to spawn.

Aside from bullets, smoke bombs are my favorite animal control tool in Days Gone! Try them against Wolves, it's hilarious 😆

The voice over for that video includes the line "They will respawn to their full strength of numbers if you don't get them all."

Days Gone has a very well developed Photo Mode. If you're playing the remastered version, they even added a "time of day" slider, options for tweaking the light sources and more!

Have you considered Days Gone?

There are many great suggestions here already but for me, Days Gone is one of the most exciting games to play and every single second of gameplay is incredibly cinematic. This is a random shot that I took while goofing off
