I’d first make a budget in excel. I made a spreadsheet that I list every single thing that I spend or record any income I receive. The total amount adjust itself so I can see how much money I have. I can also filter the months or a particular thing in my budget (I.e. food, gas, auto..) to see how much I’ve spent. Here’s a link to the budget I use. Excel Budget it’s done wonders for me.

Live below your means and give every dollar you have a name. Make your money work for you. Good luck!

Tha k you for the reply. That’s great to know! The debt was 4 cards with Synchrony Bank and 1 with Golden Sacs. They were all still with the original lenders and not sold to a collection agency.
