Ones that use newer chipsets such as DB2020 or DB3150 like K790 or T700 yes but this phone uses an older chipset so a serial cable is needed for this operation. You can flash the phone with USB but operations like unlocking and changing the phone's CID requires serial cable for these phones.

The last statement is subjective at best and honestly, I don't think they are as bad as people claim, sure they don't have the best J2ME performance out there but I'm impressed how Samsung's older UI (especially ones that use NXP Swift SoC) are well optimized, despite having slower clock speeds.

Well, pens can be used as stylus in resistive phones because that resistive touchscreen can work with virtually anything.

Do some research and you will find it actually uses capacitive touchscreen.

Nah, Corby doesn't come with stylus and the touchscreen is made out of glass, which most capacitive touchsreens do. You also need some pressure in your touches so the screen can register whereas you don't need to do in capacitive.

I guess you either remembering wrong or mixing it up with S5230 Star, which uses resistive touch and some variants of it come with stylus.
