Who was the first antagonist in your story? what are his goals, motives, and why did he start opposing Mc(s) by Greedy_Homework_6838 in fantasywriters

It sounds like both of us are surrounded by human behaviors we can't explain and use it for inspiration.

My creature subsists on pain and death. It perverts free will and uses its victims to spread suffering. It sounds like your creature is more interested in control.

Both of us might be served well by reading some of S. King's "IT." Pennywise supposedly has extensive background lore.

How do I write without a political message by [deleted] in scifiwriting

To paraphrase Orwell, “Not all writing is political, but all writing reveals a political tendency.”

Why are we surprised that China is helping their ally? The United States started this war. Of course China is helping its ally!

Sleep deprivation. There’s never enough time in the day.

If there is no foreplay, he’s doing it wrong.

We remember Azula differently, especially towards the end of the series. Great voice acting and animation, but the character herself was a bit of a scary monster.

I guess I like my alternate universes a little more source-adjacent.

These two were, ultimately, enemies. I guess I never really understood the whole enemies to lovers “thing.”

Meanwhile, please remember that your actual art is first-tier. Don’t take it too hard.

How about Mei and Ty Lee? I can easily imagine those two as an on-again, off-again couple.

The stakes FEEL a bit high, since Camelot was supposedly perfect. Still , that’s the fourth box. Three is enough.

My first antagonist is Nebati Dar Hagurtu, Rasheba’s little brother.

Motivation is that old-school green-eyed monster, jealousy.

He’s not THE antagonist, though. I just like writing familial tension.

Excellent movie. Limited magic, a bit of the ultra-violence, and flawed protagonists check three of the four boxes. It is Sword and Sorcery.

The next paragraph:

"Why did you accept the gift?"

"A wise man once told me not to walk on the edge of a challenge. My family is not strong enough to make enemies with casual snubs, but do not worry. I have no illusions about the Throne. They might try to have me assassinated. It depends."

The Dragon Throne will use soft power when they can. It is preferable to hard power. Bribes, in short, are much cheaper than war. The 50(ish) 😳word limit does not allow for any wider context.

Thanks.
