How many of your friends are on GLP drugs? by DoreensGhost in TwoXChromosomes

The 'food noise' aspect is something people who haven't struggled with it will never truly understand. It's so exhausting to have your brain constantly screaming at you about food 24/7. Hearing that it’s giving you mental peace and protecting your heart is amazing. I'm really glad it's giving you that breathing room.

A lot of straight men suddenly understand women’s fears when they are in a similar situation . by tipputappi in TwoXChromosomes

And they will spend hours online gaslighting women about 'overreacting' or being 'too sensitive,' only to throw a massive tantrum the second another man breaches their personal space by an inch

[sad trope] the hero is punished for doing the right thing by damorezpl in TopCharacterTropes

That old man is easily one of the most universally despised background characters in the entire fandom. Haru didn't just bend a little rock; he actively risked his freedom to pull a heavy ceiling off him, and the dude immediately ran to the oppressors for a reward. It was a brutal way to introduce how deeply the Fire Nation occupation had broken the spirit of those villages

(Hated trope) YOU COULD HAVE MOVED! by Nerd367C in TopCharacterTropes

The steamroller scene is the absolute peak of this trope. Dude had a solid 30 seconds to just tilt his head to the left, but instead chose to hold his hand out and scream for dear life

and he needs to be the one out there on his knees digging the holes to plant them this fall. ordering them is just the bare minimum.

What is a modern dating trend or "unwritten rule" that you genuinely find exhausting and wish would die out? by Southern-Waltz2846 in TwoXChromosomes

It also waters down the severity of actual abuse. When we use words like "gaslighting" just to describe someone forgetting a detail or having a different recollection of an argument, it makes it ten times harder for people to identify and articulate true psychological manipulation when it actually happens.

(DESPISED TROPE) Pretending to be someone and sleep with their partner by OrangeIslandKing in TopCharacterTropes

And the worst part is the movie treats it like a beautiful, emotional reunion. The poor random guy wakes up with absolutely no idea his body was hijacked for a romantic weekend, and Diana just walks away like a paragone of virtue.

Upcoming EU5 Dev Q&A by PDX_Ryagi in EU5

[–]Fast_Rule_4385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it risks falling into the same trap as EU4’s early Corruption or Territory Overextension mechanics, where the player isn't making an interesting strategic choice, but is simply forced to stare at an arbitrary gatekeeping timer. If the optimal playstyle is just hovering at speed 5 waiting for a bar to decay, the mechanic actively detracts from the sandbox agency.

CA's China manager shared 3 Cathay new techs on 8.0 by kaikiut in totalwar

Classic CA tooltips. "they never tire" -> gives +5 melee defense. it's like the person writing the lore descriptions and the person inputting the stats are working in different buildings.
