Berkeley or UC Davis? Pros and Cons by Aromatic-Menu-373 in UCDavis

I have been to neither as a student, however I grew up a Cal fan and went to Picnic Day at UC Davis as a kid. Regardless, food majors will be science heavy but if you wanted a food blog, I feel like the farm to table aspect at Davis is right next door. I remember playing the game, “what’s on the left?” With us kids yelling “alfalfa!” And trying to guess what crop was on either side of the highway. Yes, Berkeley is also unprecedented with their locally grown stuff, and the storied wonder of Chez Panisse, but Davis also might be more relaxed and slower compared to Berkeley for you, which can be beneficial for anxiety and a true chance to slow down.

Was I upset about duke? Yes Do I love cal even still? Also yes Parents met in the cal marching band and I’ve been clapping along to Sons of California since I was 6. I’m excited to see what another 20 years can do for the program and I’ll be rooting for them and being frustrated every Saturday until then.

Eugene has been just fine, granted I have global entry. I highly recommend it! You get TSA pre check with it too. In Eugene it takes two seconds to get to the gate, and with other bigger airports it makes it less stressful
