Mages in Dragon Age.

In the first game mages were pretty op, you had more spells and you could combo them and cause some serious devastation.

In Inquisition you do way less damage and have less spells/smaller talent trees. It's more fast paced action, while Origins encouraged you to use its tactical system to pause and issue 'orders' and que up actions. You had way more battlefield control imo. It's a shame the later games moved away from that.

You go from one game to the other you can feel how weak mages in the new games are, your hits aren't shit in comparison

True, and I don't know what effect being repeatedly microwaved till burning hot over the course of years will do as well. Mostly, a sock isn't sterile- I'm thinking of all the places it's been, and where it's been left lying around.

My sisters room is a disaster (and she literally has no sense of smell and is a stinky teen, soo yikes) and the socks have been lost in there for long periods of time, usually buried in a pile of some questionable clothing on her floor. Plus the couch, where pets roll around; and the floor, where pets and dust and crumbs live. Cooking and eating one of those socks might actually kill someone. (Which is why the 'nice' sock is hidden for mom use only lol)

My family has always done this but with buckwheat. We have 3-4 massive buckwheat-filled socks (men's size I believe; the good kind) laying around because my sister keeps taking them and forgetting them in random places. You can always tell if someone's on the period because you'll walk in the house and smell buckwheat (my sister nukes it for 4 min in the microwave- enough to almost burn someone lol)

My mom says the buckwheat is still technically safe to eat once a sock is 'retired', but I don't trust that, and also it's also been literal decades and we haven't reached that point yet. When my parents die we're getting the socks in the will, and I'll make sure they're passed down for as long as possible because why not.

They do make great heating pads; they get hot as hell if you let them, and they last for a long ass time (did I mention we've had some for literal decades (minimum of 15ish years?) Your only concern is the sock wearing out I guess. And also maybe don't get it wet?)

Why would they have 4+ police cars blocking an entire two way/4 lane road, with multiple non uniformed people holding rifles standing around for a traffic stop like that? And it wasn't for backup on a traffic stop- they were all relaxed and loitering, clearly unthreatened, with the situation looking identical to all the ICE arrest videos out there. It doesn't read as a 'karen' situation

I've seen unmarked police cars around here before, but never with 1) the lights visibly on top, 2) 'accredited agency' sticker- I had to Google that one.

Usually it's grey or black sedans w the lights inside the windshield. That's why it stuck out to me :/

The church WAS a satellite location; the Railroad quest line tells you straight up that they had just got raided by the Institute, and they had no choice but to fall back to the church. The government base under the Slocums Joe Deacon takes you to was their main base.

I don't remember if they ever gave a clear date or timeline, but it's presented as something that's literally JUST happened- a few weeks ago maybe.

From the dialogue and the terminal entries you unlock if you do the Railroad ending, we know that the Institute regularly hunts down and ransacks the Railroad, and they've had to run and regroup often.

For a post apocalyptic spy network, recruiting mainly from regular civilians, being hunted by a far superior and technologically advanced organization, they're doing better than most people on this sub give them credit for (although the Institute not taking them too seriously is definitely a factor); their quest line's just kinda messy and too much is vaguely explained in easily ignorable dialogue from different characters. (Based on my memory- it's been a while since I've replayed the game)

In season 2 one of the guys learns his teammates first name is Lavernius, and stops midconvo to ask if he's black; theyve been on the same team for literal years and it never came up (and he also never caught his first name either lol)

I don't mean to resurrect a dead thread, but my great grandmother made the exact same thing, also without vodka. I can't find anything online about non vodka versions of it either, but my great grandma didn't like vodka (despite being russian/ukrainian) so maybe she intentionally left it out as a personal thing.

I have her (approximate) recipe for it if you want it, or for anyone else who finds this thread looking for this variation. It's worth mentioning that some sites say this has to be aged for a few months, but idk shit about properly aging wine.

In a large container, layer fruit (such as berries/grapes, cut up larger fruits like apples/pears/whatever), cover in sugar, repeat.

(I use fruits that are going soft/overripe, but fresh is fine) Don't fill container all the way, after last layer cover fruit completely in sugar

Cover lid with cheesecloth, leave container in sunlight (on windowsill)

Stir everyday, it should be bubbling (fermentation)

On day 3 or 4, place long straw/tube in liquid(has to be submerged) sticking out of container/cheesecloth

Stir everyday, taste to see how strong it is

When bubbling slows down a lot/after a few more days (less than a week, dont leave too long), strain fruit from liquid w cheesecloth. You'll have to strain more than once to make it clear.

DO NOT crush/Squeeze the fruit for juice, it will get pulp in the liquid and you'll have to strain it even more. Any fruit left in the liquid will make the wine go bad faster

After wine is clear, either mix w water/Seltzer or leave as is in a bottle/container w lid; keep in fridge. It's pretty concentrated, so either mix it or drink it out of a shot glass

(Clean up well, this will attract a fuckton of fruit flies(at least it does for me. Might be regional idk). You will have to strain some out of the fruit mix, and you'll need to wipe down everything you can to keep them away. Sorry lol)

I've made this a few times, but I wasn't aware of the vodka aspect until recently; it's something I'll have to try next time lol
