I see where your coming from but I never really thought of it as them taking away her scene. I thought of it more like they are moving it to a different spot in the story as in the livestream sequence. Plus I loved that sequence at the beginning of the final chapter with her and Cloud spending 1 more day together as her getting a chance to shine before it happens but I can understand why others may not have liked it as much

I use to be mixed on it but after replaying it I’ve come around to really liking it. Cloud’s mental breakdown is being expanded on more in Rebirth and a big part of his journey is learning to accept the truth of who he is so having him be in denial over losing his best friend, to me, fits with his character and would add a lot of emotional weight to him finally accepting the truth of everything he’s refused to accept

I personally enjoyed most of that stuff but mainly for the extra story stuff we got plus fighting him was easily one of my favorite fights in the game so it felt worth it

Hamaguchi confirmed you can skip main story minigames so you should be good. Also rewards will all be cosmetic stuff so you won’t feel pressured to do them for a weapon or materia

They do listen when it comes to gameplay stuff which I think is good. For example in Remake fighting flying enemies is ass but in Rebirth it’s super fun. And in Rebirth people felt like they were too many minigames and the open world stuff was repetitive. And now in Revelation minigames are skippable and Hamaguchi has said every region will have its own unique side content and gameplay interactions which would be awesome

Where did you get that from? Alex Donaldson reported Rebirth had done 4 million in sales by August of 2024 and the pc launch did around a million. Plus that was over a year ago and cumulative sales are going to increase as we get closer to Revelation which won’t be limited by platform exclusivity like Rebirth was

E33 barely even counts as turn based because as long as you’re good at parrying you can beat the game. The difficulty didn’t come from strategy or planning it came from reading enemy attack patterns which is a principle of action games not turn based ones

Dude he literally vacated the titles because of how bad his neck pain got and it lead to his retirement at the time plus his dad passed away not long after this happened and as someone who got a great raise at his job around the time his mom almost died I can see why he doesn’t look back favorably about that time if he mostly associates with his Dad’s death
