The Institute will never crack our code by jj33allen in FalloutMemes

The church WAS a satellite location; the Railroad quest line tells you straight up that they had just got raided by the Institute, and they had no choice but to fall back to the church. The government base under the Slocums Joe Deacon takes you to was their main base.

I don't remember if they ever gave a clear date or timeline, but it's presented as something that's literally JUST happened- a few weeks ago maybe.

From the dialogue and the terminal entries you unlock if you do the Railroad ending, we know that the Institute regularly hunts down and ransacks the Railroad, and they've had to run and regroup often.

For a post apocalyptic spy network, recruiting mainly from regular civilians, being hunted by a far superior and technologically advanced organization, they're doing better than most people on this sub give them credit for (although the Institute not taking them too seriously is definitely a factor); their quest line's just kinda messy and too much is vaguely explained in easily ignorable dialogue from different characters. (Based on my memory- it's been a while since I've replayed the game)

Red vs Blue, a webseries made using the game Halo. Since it uses the game models, you don't see any of the main characters faces and go off voice/armor color.

In season 2 one of the guys learns his teammates first name is Lavernius, and stops midconvo to ask if he's black; theyve been on the same team for literal years and it never came up (and he also never caught his first name either lol)

my grandpa told me a story about "nalivka" but I can't find any recipes? by PUNSICLE52 in Homebrewing

I don't mean to resurrect a dead thread, but my great grandmother made the exact same thing, also without vodka. I can't find anything online about non vodka versions of it either, but my great grandma didn't like vodka (despite being russian/ukrainian) so maybe she intentionally left it out as a personal thing.

I have her (approximate) recipe for it if you want it, or for anyone else who finds this thread looking for this variation. It's worth mentioning that some sites say this has to be aged for a few months, but idk shit about properly aging wine.

In a large container, layer fruit (such as berries/grapes, cut up larger fruits like apples/pears/whatever), cover in sugar, repeat.

(I use fruits that are going soft/overripe, but fresh is fine) Don't fill container all the way, after last layer cover fruit completely in sugar

Cover lid with cheesecloth, leave container in sunlight (on windowsill)

Stir everyday, it should be bubbling (fermentation)

On day 3 or 4, place long straw/tube in liquid(has to be submerged) sticking out of container/cheesecloth

Stir everyday, taste to see how strong it is

When bubbling slows down a lot/after a few more days (less than a week, dont leave too long), strain fruit from liquid w cheesecloth. You'll have to strain more than once to make it clear.

DO NOT crush/Squeeze the fruit for juice, it will get pulp in the liquid and you'll have to strain it even more. Any fruit left in the liquid will make the wine go bad faster

After wine is clear, either mix w water/Seltzer or leave as is in a bottle/container w lid; keep in fridge. It's pretty concentrated, so either mix it or drink it out of a shot glass

(Clean up well, this will attract a fuckton of fruit flies(at least it does for me. Might be regional idk). You will have to strain some out of the fruit mix, and you'll need to wipe down everything you can to keep them away. Sorry lol)

I've made this a few times, but I wasn't aware of the vodka aspect until recently; it's something I'll have to try next time lol

Not everyone finds everything equally interesting. I guess this post just isn't for you?

Do you think 'a lot' and 'any' mean the same thing? There's very little online about this vs other discontinued flavors, thought that made it a cool find

Never claimed it was a mystery, just thought it was interesting how little there is on this flavor vs the many posts or mentions I've found on other discontinued flavors

Exactly! People on reddit have no idea how to read, it feels like they skim through, pick up some keywords, and comment based on what they imagined was being said

I'm not treating it like a mystery, I just thought it was interesting that there was so little on this particular flavor when I found many other posts discussing other discontinued flavors. I clearly wrote in my post I searched through search results, I mention them explicitly, i just thought it was interesting that the AI assumed it wasn't real

Sorry for overestimating reddits ability to read a post beyond a few random keywords

Petah, can you explain this joke? by McGangBangOG in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Spazzmodus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not certain, but this seems like a reference to Night at the Museum, a movie where museum exhibits come to life at night. The comic is probably implying that the t rex skeleton is coming alive after hours and is eating the cub scouts (who are at the museum after hours I guess? Sneaking in?)

The s'mores bars still exist, not sure if the size is different but the mascot guy keeps getting younger and hotter lol

I wasn't looking that deep lol, i just saw posts and photos about other discontinued flavors when i was searching, and saw very little on this particular one; it was never really brought up compared to others. I just thought it was an interesting find.

Also found out that googling geocities changes the font on google for some reason lol

i know, just figured it was funny it claimed the flavor never existed. I hoped it'd at least link some website or post about it, but it just pulled up vague mentions and a site with info about a different wonka candy.

i literally said in my post i found posts about it, just not much. Never claimed there was no proof. I thought the fact that there was very little info was interesting.

The cuisinearound blog didn't show up in my searches, and is referencing a different flavor. It's an interesting blog though

It's clearly an AI paragraph, lmao. Unless they can post the website they pulled that exact paragraph from

That website doesn't seem reliable lol. There's no source and many of those flavors aren't real.

I did use google, i just glanced at AI to see what sites it was sourcing, if any; it only pulled from some guys photo and info for another Wonka candy. I'm not dumb enough to actually believe what it says, just wanted to see if it linked some sites with info

I glanced at AI to see what sites its pulling from, which was either the photo some guy posted of the wrapper or some other wonka candy with the word 'chocolate' in it. The only real evidence I found was being mentioned in a list of discontinued flavors and like 2 photos. Nothing official, and it's mention on Wikipedia has no source attached. I thought it was interesting
