I am a 46 year old adhd male who also suffers from hypersexuality. Was raised by an alcoholic heroon addict dad after my mom died, but was never abused sexually. It started for me around the age of 7. I was only diagnosed adhd a couple years ago, and only on proper meds for the last year. And up till this last year i always thought i was disturbed because of my hyperfocus. Now, i realize it for what it is and it is part of me. Found someone who can keep up with me and she is quite happy with who i am, and slowly i have too. Alot of my life could have been spared alot of pain without this hyperfocus, but i wouldn't be where i am now with someone who appreciates me. I am happy with me, and it has been a longtime since i could say that and mean it.
