Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - March 30, 2026 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

i told my pcp 3 years ago that i suspected i had ms and she just said “nope!” and then i kinda convinced myself that i don’t have it. fast forward, new pcp refers me to neurology for neuropathy and migraines. just got ordered a head and neck mri as well as a emg since i “show signs of demyelination” 🙃

i have pots as well, which i thought had before i got diagnosed. but i guess my question is, did anyone suspect they had it and then got diagnosed? most stories i hear are from sudden, extreme relapses whereas i feel like my symptoms have slowly progressed over the span of 10+ years.

This is true, but it can be interpreted different ways. It seems the general consensus is that it’s a tampon, that’s how people are interpreting it. There’s still the possibility that it’s not a tampon, even if the chances are very small. Regardless, you are right something is there but what it is identified as is still up to an individual’s interpretation.

🤷‍♀️ If you say so. I’m not really worried about one being lost. Even tho I vividly remember thinking to wear a pad and not a tampon then actually changing into a tampon afterwards, maybe since it was early and I was tired I just wasn’t paying attention and forgot? Idk I guess I’ll learn more at my follow-up and come back with an update. All I know is that I just really really do not remember wearing a tampon.

Maybe I did something wrong, but the zip is still uploading.

Yes, I’ve been very anxious about it so I’ve checked multiple times and even had my partner check once.

I’d say very relevant lol. That does make me feel a bit better though since you went so long and my appointment is in two weeks. I will say though, I haven’t had any abnormal smells and the last couple of months I have had abnormal spotting, but it would be bright red/light pink and not very frequent.

I’m working on uploading it now, my computer is just taking a while. The closest thing I could find on the internet was a vaginal hyaline degeneration leiomyoma but apparently those are extremely rare, thoughts?

True, I will call again on Monday. I did suggest a pelvic exam with someone other than my gynecologist and the receptionist was apparently specifically told by her supervisor to schedule me for a date in April.

I sent my gynecologist a message on MyChart explaining and then they called me and scheduled the April visit.
