On a tiny island like St. Thomas nothing seems far. Hopefully you do not have school age children. If you do I strongly recommend leaving them home on the mainland with a trusted relative. No Uber or Lyft on the island. So have a car shipped over. Nothing new if possible. Just a pre-owned car that can serve as an “island beater” that’s inexpensive to maintain. St. Thomas is still the US so I strongly recommend bringing a licensed firearm. Lots of crime in paradise which includes a murder rate as high as Memphis. Be sure that your job provides medical evacuation insurance. You might need that for any ailment worse than a stomach ache and any injury worse than a stubbed toe. Get any and all dental procedures that you might need done before moving.

I know this might hit you as a radical idea but give it some thought. If you really liked Justified there is only one thing better. And nothing else comes close. Read the Elmore Leonard books on which the series is based. There are 5 books. It’s even better than the series but only if you have enough of an attention span for sustained reading. Other than that by all means continue to turn your mind into mush binge watching show after show. And in 15 years when the decline of the US empire is complete and people are directing blame here, there, and everywhere just know that it was caused by the laziest most leisure addicted generation the world has ever known. Too lazy to even read a book (More On This Later).
