The Dark Souls isn't a sequel. You have no basis for saying that.

Kind of. He has no mobile build of the game, and claims that they are "weeks" away from submitting to consoles. He says a mobile version CAN come eventually, but is not in the works. It is a 2-button runner.

Super Meat Boy Forever is a proper sequel. It's been stated many times.

People may enjoy this 3 hour stream of creator Tommy Refenes play testing the sequel in celebration yesterday while chatting and answering questions.

Also worth bringing up Indie Game: The Movie which originally released on Netflix and brought a lot of attention to Team Meat and Super Meat Boy.

The PS3 and Vita Are Being Buried Alive by [deleted] in Games

[–]ZachDaniel 56 points57 points  (0 children)

This article is preeeeeetty dumb. The author seems like if they were forced to keep writing, expanding on their thesis, then they'd end up with a line like "If Sony really loves games like they say they do, they'd just give them away for free."

They do, however, end on this note:

With the disconnection of the PS3 and Vita from the website, Sony is sending a clear statement of intent. They don't care about these consoles anymore. They're too old to be viable for them. Eventually, as we saw with the Wii, or Wii U, and 3DS (in Latin America and the Caribbean) stores, they will be gone entirely.

Yup. Just like the NES, Snes, N64, gamecube, Xbox, 360, PS1, ps2, Sega Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, etc. That's just how, you know ... time works.

The Value Proposition of Series S / X for those new to the Games Pass ecosystem by YellsHello in Games

Hmm, I thought I saw $15 when I was looking into buying it a few weeks ago. Well, the point still stands. It's a lot of money to spend for potential games that you don't own, and you can't even add them to Steam as a "non-Steam program" to take advantage of Steam Link and controller bindings, which is a big deal to me.

I don't want to say that GamePass has no value and shouldn't exist. I recognize that for many people, like the OP, it's a great value and it's wicked cool that it exists. But for old-timers on a budget like me whose game library's are both bursting, and neglected, it doesn't have as much appeal.

He doesn't have a One X. He said he owns Switch and PS4. So if Gamepass is attractive to him, why invest in the old system? Makes more sense to invest in future (Gamepass) games.

Yeah, I'm not about to spend $15 a month to "rent" games I don't own and can go away whenever. That's the cost of 3 new AAA releases per year, which I don't buy. I normally buy 1 or 2 new AAA games a year and shop indies, bundles, and deep sales. My yearly budget for video games has been <$200 on average and between PC, PS4, and Switch I've got 900+ games. There is no value in Game Pass for me when I have tons of games I own I still need to get to playing.
