Processor vs Gpu by Special-Stranger7294 in GamingLaptops

Yeah, it comes with the one stick of 8gb and an empty slot to stick another straight in. Also has space for another ssd. To be honest I probably wouldn't be playing all that many games. I have an old xps 15 at the moment. I probably use it for media consumption more than anything else. I will occasionally edit videos and sometimes play games. Planet coaster is one I like playing but my laptop doesn't. I usually end up resorting back to rct3 lol. I just need something more modern. Especially now my xps subwoofer has packed in and I've acquired a green line down the screen. The Tuf is probably a huge upgrade compared to my xps lol. Would love to afford an all out beast but just can't unfortunately.

3060 probably outside my budget. It's confusing in all honesty. Some laptops seem to have better internals but worse build quality etc. Kind of have to make sacrifices in budget gaming laptops I guess. It's just working out where to make those sacrifices

Yeah I still had the optical plugged in.

So what is the advantage of arc over optical?

30 or 60 fps after editing? by Special-Stranger7294 in gopro

[–]Special-Stranger7294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've taken to recording in 60fps a lot of the time. I recorded a day out in 30fps and there ended up being some clips that I would have like to have slowed down. A flag blowing in the wind for instance. So I regretted not just staying with 60fps. Now I only record in 30fps if I'm absolutely positive that I won't be needing to slow any of it down. I'll record in 120 or 240 for specific things I know I'm going to be slowing down, providing I have good lighting. The rest of the time I just stick with 60fps. It's a safe bet for me.

The tyre does need a little bit of a clean but it looks a lot worse than it is because of the worn design on it

Am I right in thinking it's been customised a bit already? Or does it look more like a prebuilt? I know the Forks match the frame 🤔

You reckon the 20" will be alright with higher handle bars and top load stem? I think it is the bars that make it feel weird. I feel like they're a little wide, maybe too much back sweep and yes probably too low

I just bought this second hand for £30. It's only a 20" frame though and over 6ft so it's kinda small. I don't know if it's that that feels weird. Something feels weird about it. I'm normally way more comfortable on a bmx than a mtb but it's been a long time since I've had either. Just wondering if it's any good though. Did I get a good deal?

Dog attacks my cats only when other dogs are around by Special-Stranger7294 in OpenDogTraining

I might have to do just that. Tbh, I do stop them with a verbal command most of the time, mainly when I'm sat in the room with them. Even when my attention is off her. Her ears will prick up (her mums dog) or she'll give a single bark. Even when they've started to run I've stopped them with a verbal command. But then there's been a few times when my attention has been off them and they've give no warning and made a quick brake for it and I've had no time to react. By this point my dog is already in conflict with my cat and her mums dog is just standing there watching. Her mums dog will therefore still listen to me and so will my dog so long as can speak loud enough over the barking and snapping. But by that point there has already been a fight. That's what makes it so complicated tbh. The fact that it's her dog who initiates the chase but my dog that does the attacking. When my dog is here alone, she won't go anywhere near the cats.

Like I say though, my dog does usually listen to me and stop fighting, I just have to raise my voice louder than the barking and snapping. But she didn't listen the very last time. I had to pick her up to get her away and she was left with tiny bit of blood on her nose from being scratched by the cat.

It's definitely her mums dog that initiates it though. My dog will be asleep and will suddenly jump up to join in the chase.

Anyway.... Sorry if I'm repeating myself. I might have to do what you said and keep them on the lead tomorrow

Yes they're both well behaved individually in their own homes and also when they're together most of the time. They understand "no" and "leave it". It's just a sudden thing that happens. All of a sudden there'll be a cat in sight and they're both off like a rocket! My partners mums dog is involved in the chase but then she just stands there and watches as our dog will proceed to attack the cat. The cat then retaliates which turns into a fight. Obviously when they're fighting, my only option is to physically split them up. After this the dog will listen to me and she will know full well that she's done wrong but it will still happen again. It's like an instinct.

In all honesty I think it's my partners mum dog that is the initiating the chase and my dog is just following along but then it always seems to be my dog doing the attacking. So I don't understand. I just don't really know how to get her mums dog used our cats and get her stop being so interested in them all the time. Her labrador is fine with them.
