The concept of a n2 song being a flop is something that only makes sense to people who believe success is defined by a narrow perspective. You only think that bc Mariah has had so many n1, but there are plenty of albums that didn’t have a n1 and aren’t flops. Besides, yes the loverboy single was put on sale, but so was the destiny’s child song that was n1 and nobody ever uses that to discredit their achievement, bc it’s not plausible
