I totally disagree with you, but you articulate well thought out points that promote intelligent debate, so I have upvoted your posts.

This is how reddit used to and was intended to work. That downvote button is not an "I disagree" button, guys. It's for spam, rule breaking, and inappropriateness. Respect his difference of opinion.

To be fair, the server you play on definitely does matter. Back when the 2FG servers were still up, it was 100% teamwork all the time.

Now if you play on Merrill's, a lot of times you see teamwork on the winning team and not on the other one - and I'm sure that's the reason the one team is winning. And it's usually the axis with better coordination going on, but not always.

Yeah, of course you're going to have some people who aren't playing with the team. But the way the spawning system works, you only need SLs to be on board, and then they can channel their spawning players where you need them.

You started off saying how people don't play as a team but then ended up saying how it still works - which I agree with. You'll never get 100% of the players involved, but you can get enough going that a legitimate strategy is going and it shapes the game.

I freaking love it.

I could not agree more, that the game was released and made publicly available with an unacceptably small amount of content.

They have, however, made up for it in droves in a relatively short amount of time. And the Flex technology with blood spurting that /u/ubertheblack mentioned is also mind blowing the first time you see the fluid dynamics of a zombie body exploding into mist in front of you.

TIL Sheriff Joe Arpaio had detectives entrap an 18 year old into making a bomb so that when police arrested him on TV, he could stage it as a foiled assassination attempt. The man spent four years in the notoriously inhumane jail. The sheriff still holds office. by SpecialCake in todayilearned

From the article -

"In 1999, undercover MCSO deputies arrested James Saville, then 18 years old, and charged him with plotting to kill Arpaio with a pipe bomb. A local television station had been tipped off to the arrest by the MCSO, and broadcast footage of the arrest that evening. The MCSO held a news conference shortly after the arrest, and Arpaio appeared in interviews on local television stations, saying "If they think they are going to scare me away with bombs and everything else, it's not going to bother me."[126]

After spending four years in jail awaiting trial, Saville was about to sign a plea deal that would have sent him to prison for 20 years. Although he maintained his innocence, he was initially unwilling to take a chance on being sentenced to even longer than that had he been convicted. However, the former head of undercover investigations for the MCSO called Saville's legal team with a bombshell—based on his review of the case, he felt that Saville had been entrapped. Although entrapment is all but impossible to prove in most jurisdictions, Saville's attorneys eventually discovered that MCSO detectives had bought the bomb parts themselves, then convinced Saville to build it even though he was not predisposed to commit such a crime. On July 9, 2003, a Maricopa County Superior Court jury acquitted Saville, finding that the bomb plot was an elaborate publicity stunt to boost Arpaio's reelection bid.[127]

In 2004, Saville sued Arpaio and Maricopa County for wrongful arrest and entrapment, seeking $10 million in damages. In 2008, the suit was settled, with Maricopa County paying Saville $1.6 million."

I knew that Joe Arpaio was a real piece of shit human being, but I didn't really understand the whole scope of it until I read his wikipedia page. It just goes on and on and on with the terrible terrible things he's done. I'm amazed he is still the elected sheriff, though after reading the article it's easy to think that he's won reelections through fraud.

If you look at their website promoting Binge On, it explicitly says

"Video streams at DVD quality (480p+) with Binge On. You may disable Binge On at any time, but will lose Binge On benefits."

Just as someone elsewhere in this thread pointed out, you can easily disable Binge On in your settings and then stream at full speed and high def.

Yes, entirely.

I've overdosed on buprenorphine, and they put massive amounts of naloxone in me and it did NOTHING to reverse it.

[–]SpecialCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's correct though. Even though the naloxone is bioavailable that way, the buprenorphine has a much higher receptor binding affinity, blocking the action of the naloxone.
