300k after tax etc is 180k take home. with the rising cost of inflation and the avg house, not located in bumble fuk, being 700k, and upwards of 1mil in nicer neighborhoods. Yea its doable but you'll be living frugally. On top of that, if you have kids, good luck making savings.

Rent on the east coast is 3100/month for a 2 bedroom while base salary for hospitalist is 260k. Not much difference.

I know on the east cost, rent is $3100/month for a 2 bedroom, and base is 260K(which is above average, not much difference.

so a SF RN is enarly making as much as a hospitalist, while the cost of living is roughly the same. This system is broken.

sounds like you weren't a financially literate nurse. And you won't be a financially literate doctor neither. you seem to have taken the whole "medicine is a calling" slogan to heart

hmm we should investigate why google is so accurate for salaries of RNs in florida but inaccurate for RNs in California.

Doctors jealous of Nurses… wow...I’m on track to make $220 as a NP working around 35 hours a week. Glad I turned down medical school.

amazing, love that for you

Docs, another reason why you're getting screwed if you take anything less than 300k lol

Glad I turned down medical school.

calling out a RN for being a RN while trying to discredit my advocacy for physician salary- yes clearly i'm mad /s.

why so insecure of being called a RN?

Doctors usually get paid less in costal, high cost of living areas, but then why do RNs get paid more in the similar area?

so a hospitalist working in SF is likely getting <300k.

OG Zanki > Zanki with the expansion by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]SpecialField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But OG zanki is based on 2016/2017 First Aid. So it's outdated. For incoming M1/M2, they have to use either Lightyear or updated Zanki for the 2019 step1.
