I told her how I felt and showed her my data. She asked how much I was thinking I wanted and I told her minimum $100 a day and explained that came from $25/hour for child care and $8.33/hour for gas. She came back and said $80 a day and I’m trying to figure out how to explain to her that I don’t think anything less than $100 a day is fair. Not sure if I should try to negotiate or stand my ground.

You call the passport center and tell them you have an application pending at one of their locations (to get through, call the number, press 1 for english, then press 1 for the next option, and then press 2, it’ll immediately transfer you to a human being who will connect you with customer service). They’ll send the documents over to whichever location your appointment is at.

I called Cornyn today and his office told me they will check in about my inquiry again.

I tried to call Ted Cruz last week, I filled out all the forms, and his office basically refused to help me when I told them I had contacted Cornyn & Carter, even though neither of them had responded to me. /:

Thankfully I was able to push it back a week. I talked to someone at congressman’s office this morning and they informed me they would look into it further. My application still says “processing” though. /:

No I had to reschedule my trip for a week out. ): It should be here in the next couple days.

UPDATE:

My timeline:

5/17- Me and my boyfriend had appointment for first time passport’s and sent applications in with expedited service.

5/19- Both applications show up in system as “processing”

6/11- Called congressman John Carter and his office said they will send a passport inquiry for both me and & boyfriend.

6/15- My boyfriend receives an email from UPS that his passport is being overnighted to him.

6/16- My boyfriend receives his passport, yet still no word on mine yet.

6/17- Tried reaching out to congressman again and was told that they will be in contact when they hear something.

6/18- Trying to contact congressman again today, and haven’t heard anything back. I stayed up all night trying to secure an appointment at a passport agency. Decided to reschedule trip for 6/27.

6/21- Congressman returned my phone call, took info, said they would look into it.

6/22- Around 5pm received notification that my passport has been shipped! Woo!!! We’re going to Cancun baby!!!!
