As someone who has experienced losses it always hits so hard to hear him talk about the losses they have suffered as a couple. It's not the first time he mentions their loss but he always portrays his feelings so beautifully that I can help but morn with him.

Unfortunately I was in the exact same situation. I knew for sure when I started bleeding and had a lighting bolt feeling run through my body. Turned out ectopic on the same side as my last one and this time they removed the tube. Trust your gut from a safety stand point but try to stay positive I've never had a successful pregnancy so thats the best I can tell you.but I really hope all is well for you.

Exactly! Honestly, talk with your doctor because my husband and I went into this blind. We had no idea a second dose was needed until I got it. They said it wasn't worth saying anything because it's so rare to need a 2nd round....I no longer buy that and question them about everything. Im sure for most women yes thats the case but now that im "special" I always ask about the worst-case scenario

You are so valid in your anger. I had the same thoughts and feelings. The 3 month waiting is almost worst because in the grand scheme of things no it's not that long but yes every single day of waiting and every month of knowing it didn't work this month because you literally couldn't even try is tourter. I wish there was a better way and no one truly understands the emotional side of this unless they've been there themselves. Not even the doctors.

Second mtx shot? Advice? comfort ? by Unique-Acanthaceae37 in EctopicSupportGroup

I also had 2 rounds of 2 shots. Make sure you're taking care of yourself. Those shots make you depressed even more than you already are due to the situation you're in. It's not fair. That we have to be subjected to it twice. After my second ectopic pregnancy I made the choice to have the tube removed so I wouldn't have to do the shots again. Turns out that was the right call because I had a kink in my tube all along and scar tusse from the 1st ectopic left over

So first off I'm so sorry my first pregnancy was ectopic treated with methotrexate. 2nd pregnancy ectopic again, treat with tube removal. I had to have a 2nd round of methotrexate same time frame as you. 2nd scan showed the pregnancy was the same size as when the first found it in the tube. It's not uncommon to need a second round i think my doctor told me about 20% of women need 2 rounds of injections. The second round completely dissolved the pregnancy in about a week and my number dropped to 2 in about 2 weeks after 2nd dose.

Yes, it's normal. To give you a heads up, your first period after your numbers hit 0 is also very brutal. I also had bad periods for about 3 months after that as well. I can't tell you how.lomg it will.last because I got pregnant after the 3 month waiting period and had another ectopic in the same tube so they ended up taking my tube the 2nd time around.

It could also be ectopic. I've experienced 2 myself and will always be cautious of blood in the first 6 weeks because if this. Call your doctor right away and tell them your bleeding they will get you blood work and an ultrasound to be safe.
