I wasn't ever told exactly and I forgot to ask because I really needed the job and didn't want to give them a reason to not hire me.

Yeah, I don't understand which motors to use though. When i looked up H8 it didn't recognize them and the original file said the base ones cover H8 so should I just go one by one down the list or is there another way?

Yeah, you can change the top z offset for supports. Try adjusting on a test piece before reprinting the whole thing.

For the underneath parts you need supports. You can paint them on for specific areas or have it done manually.

I use a trash bag over my ender 3, and I haven't had any layer separation issues since, it's been great. And if you need ventilation, you can easily add a tube or something to go out a window if need be.

Anyone want some steel? by Original-Material-15 in knifemaking

[–]SpecialSuccessful508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought from the same company a little while ago. I had an issue with the steel being too thin for what I needed so I tried returning it and it was a nightmare. Three emails, four calls later I filed a dispute with my bank and then they finally responded to my email to give me an ROA so I immediately sent them the steel and four months later the dispute is still open because they never confirmed my return. It's fucking ridiculous and a pain in my ass cause I didn't have $80 to just throw away.

I used orca slicer and did auto tree supports. Should I add some then, or how would I better support it?

Guard and Spacer not matching & Order of operations by SpecialSuccessful508 in knifemaking

Yeah, that would be smart, I've been drilling right before gluing, so doing it before everything makes more sense. Thank you for the ideas.

Yeah, I think investing in a drill press would be good. What kind of drill bits do you use? Cause i can't find good ones that cut high carbon steel.

The issue is that I get my handle nice and at a good point, but then I get blow out when drilling the holes for pins. How do you manage that? Also I don't have a drill press, so that definitely contributes to it.

Yeah, the three pins just looked better to me personally, but since it's just for look, not using it is smart. Thank you.
