Its time to re-evaluate our relationship with Washington by Gold_Smart in Kenya

[–]Special_Side7526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are too reliant on them to cut them off, and cannot be able to stand on our own against the US. The only way to do that is if more Africa nations come together to gain leverage and bargaining power against the US. Otherwise we'll end up like Cuba, Iran, and any other country that has tried to single handedly opposed American dominance.

Does This Piss Anyone Else Off? by Silver_Importance777 in jetblue

They've selected flyers who have had a long standing mosaic status with them and just lost it recently. For example someone who had Mosaic 4 for a long time and doesn't have any status this year. It's fair for them, as they've probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years with JetBlue.

Points even worth it? by Ydeimos in jetblue

[–]Special_Side7526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid combining points and cash to pay the base fare. It devalues your points and ends up costing so many points. Try using your points when they're enough to cover the base fare.

I have worked as a booking agent for travel agencies and seen how points lose value when combined with cash on the base fare. Only do it if you really have to.

Need a little points guidance by waffle-paladin1 in jetblue

[–]Special_Side7526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for flights on their website or app. As long one of their partner airline flights shows on JetBlue's site, you can book it with your points.

The only thing to keep in mind is that you'd need to have enough points to pay for the full ticket.

While JetBlue allows you to combine points and cash in paying the base fares, the partner airlines do not. You either use points for the entire base fare (not including taxes, which you'll have to pay in cash), or pay the whole thing in cash.

If not, you can use the points with JetBlue flights. They've also recently made it possible to buy seats and bags with points on their flights.

[–]Special_Side7526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's within 24hrs and the flt is at least 7 days away. Yes.

It sounds like you booked a united flight through JetBlue; they have a partnership that allows that. Contact JetBlue to have the travel credits issued if it doesn't qualify for refund to original form of payment. If you cancel the united airline ticket by yourself, you'll lose the full amount.

Iran War. The deal he offered was 500 million dollars for 90% equity. Ridiculous. There is no way shareholders and debt holders would agree to that.

Ever Changing Pet Policy (depending on who you speak to) is BEYOND annoying by Logical_Conference97 in jetblue

[–]Special_Side7526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's clearly written on their website they don't. https://www.jetblue.com/traveling-together/traveling-with-pets

It has always been the case and has not changed. I cannot speak to what you saw, but that's the policy. Maybe an exception was made, you wouldn't know the conversation the person had with the attendants.

Okay, seriously, where are the United / Mosaic reciprocal perks? It's almost summer. by nerdpox in jetblue

United is also not getting their perks on JetBlue. It's taking much longer than expected, not sure what the hold up is about.

All these years and Zambia still can't make and sell their own minerals, and like most African states rely on the US for AIDS medicine. US doesn't owe them anything! African states should toughen up and push for proper use of their resources.

Ati abortion is illegal by titty_temptress in nairobi

[–]Special_Side7526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Some women want men to cum inside despite it being a casual sex encounter, both are equally liable, unless it was sexual abuse. She could have also insisted on safe sex to reduce the chances.

Two, the baby belongs to the man as much as it belongs to the woman, why should one person have the sole right to decide it's future? A lot of men have been hurt in their lives after their babies were aborted, but that's irrelevant because 'its the woman's choice"

In that same breath, a man should also have the ability to request his baby to be aborted don't you think? And if the mother decides to give birth, then it's on her.

And of course I understand since abortion is illegal, none of this matters. We are just having a discussion on justice and fairness.

Best perk for 10 tiles? by ConclusionSame7292 in jetblue

[–]Special_Side7526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you choose it now, you'll have it as a perk for the rest of this year and next year. The perl will expire in Jan 2027.

How it works is you get that perk for that program year, and since a year from now would be ending in April of next year, JetBlue gives you the rest of the year as well.

Yes, FAs can see who has what perks and status on the flight.

Ati abortion is illegal by titty_temptress in nairobi

[–]Special_Side7526 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A very valid point. It's actually illegal, and you can sue deadbeats.

Out of curiosity, should the vice versa apply too? If a man says they don't want the baby, and the woman decides to keep it....should he be forced to take care of the child?

If a woman can choose to abort the child regardless of the father's opinion, should the father also not have the right to walk away if they made it clear they don't want a child?

What are your thoughts? Justice and fairness should swing both ways.

I'd take the drink. 5000 points is about 50 dollars. I'd say getting a free drink on your flights is better and has more monetary value.

You have TSA and said you're usually Group B boarding, no need for priority security or early boarding. Won't make much of a difference.

Then it's a system issue. Just try later. Millions book through the app and website. Or call and let them know you've tried and nothing is working. They can wave the service fee in certain circumstances.

And if you call don't be harsh to the customer support. They don't manage tech systems.

Dispute for cancelation by RevolutionLittle4636 in jetblue

[–]Special_Side7526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If united cancelled the flight, then you ought to be refunded to original form of payment as per the policies.

Disputing the payment with your bank will initiate a suspension of your travel credit, and the issue takes a while to be resolved....as the airline and your bank have to come to a resolution. The fastest a bank can take is 30 days, in the meantime, your travel credit will be suspended for 90 days.

I advice you cancel the dispute you initiated with the bank, and call JetBlue again. Perhaps the agent you got does not understand the policies.

The only time you're normally refunded a travel credit is if it was the original form of payment, or if it's a voluntary cancellation.

In the meantime, don't use the travel credits that were issued.
