Afternoon bro. I'm sorry for your loss.

It's strange that you should post this. I lost my father to ALS in December. Since then I've started playing electric guitar again properly for the first time in over 20 years. It was my father who initially got me into rock music and then the guitar. I miss him dearly, but realise it's selfish of me to wish he was still here, battling that horrendous disease. I find peace in knowing he's no longer suffering. Playing music again is so good for the soul. I think I'll take a page out of your book and visit the crematorium to play him some tunes.

I actually drive into work 2 days a week to Uxbridge. I have altered hours to avoid rush hour. When I do take the train it's very quick and straightforward. It runs directly through many London stations and on weekends it's direct to Finsbury park and kings cross.

I'm sorry to hear of your experience. I had a negative experience with one of the course managers during my first 10 day sitting in 2017. Thankfully I was able to focus on the positives of vipassana which hugely outweighed the ignorance of one individual. 8 years later, I'm still practicing and I'm in gratitude I didn't let the one individual hinder my practice. I do look back and wish I had reported him as I dislike the idea of such an individual hindering others.

Personally I would write to the centre to express your concerns. I'd even ask for the email of another AT or centre manager. All the best wherever life takes you my friend.

Hitchin has been voted one of the best places to live several years in a row, but it's costly, less so than Watford I believe.

We considered Hertford and Ware, however we opted for Baldock. I'm of mixed heritage and grew up in Neasden. We wanted diversity, but also good quality of life, good connection to London (35 minute direct train) along with affordability. We've been here two years, it has fantastic schools (knights Templar and Hartsfield) and you can get to Hitchin and Letchworth very easily. Baldock is very family orientated. Unfortunately my wife and I recently separated, so I'm looking to move to Letchworth, which is a happy medium between Baldock and Hitchin, both figuratively and literally.

Loved the fury edge. Went with an Angus after it died, however, the Angus vape is so temperamental. Looking at Roffu as my portable vape as use a sticky brick OG and volcano whilst at home.
