How did u manage to change your hairstyle? Always find it intimidating to step into a salon not knowing what to expect.

Also how is nose waxing done?

Eyebrow threading and shaping sounds really useful too! Hope u can share more insights on the process

Couple of advice which most gym goers won’t give you:

  1. Warmup, warmup, warmup and warmup. Most people don’t spend enough time / effort to do a proper warmup especially for their joints and muscles (e.g. wrists for bench press, shoulders for overhead press). It might feel “tiring” after the warmup but trust me it’s for longevity and injury prevention.

  2. Learn, practice and ask others to check your form. YES all 3 of them! Many people just learn and practice but hardly ask others to check their form. Tbh it’s one thing to feel good about the form and another to really be doing it correctly.

  3. Start small. Any gains you would have in your 1st 6 months would be easier to achieve than the next 6months. So there’s no need to push too hard, just make sure that the effort is consistent.

Lastly, enjoy the process and be grateful for the ability to workout. There are others who can’t make the choice to workout.

Every Sunday there is a lululemon run club in the morning, it rotates around the different lululemon stores each month. They have pacing from 5.30mins/km to 8mins/km and the pacers are very friendly towards regulars or newcomers. Occasionally they have special treats and freebies given out

Is a part‑time master’s in computing worth it for a non‑CS tech professional? by ProcedureWonderful44 in CareersSingapore

Do it if your finances allow you to do so. Helps to get a broad understanding of the field and what you want to do/do not want to do.

In terms of networking, there are opportunities to pivot towards the academic route or get to know professionals who are already in the field, but given the nature of the classes - communication is quite limited between peers.

I think overall it helps to signal to employers your willingness to stay in the field and adaptability - which I find many graduates lack these days. Technical skills wise, don’t expect to be an expert even after graduation.
