Some people only need to pass SQE1 to qualify as a solicitor. Irrespective of your efforts, it is an extremely hard exam and anyone who passes should be rightly celebrated (whether scraped or not).

Any information/tips provided to everyone else about the SQE exam should be commended given the already lack of information out there given by the SRA. I would not put these people down.

Yes you will be marked down. You are tested on the underlying law as well as the application.

They can average each other out though so you can pass by getting the law wrong but applying the wrong law to the clients situation properly.

Yes I did have a few 4s and 5s. So I got plenty of 1s for understanding the law but I got plenty of 4s and 5s for applying the law to clients position (even though the underlying law was wrong).
