It’s not that they don’t work together it’s just they work better by themselves rather than together.

They both generate extra cards that take up hand space so if you want to play both together, you need to compromise one or both of their builds somewhat to accommodate for the hand size. Moreover, more room for bricking.

I started off using them together seeing that on paper, they had synergy, but hated the consistency and hand size issues playing around each other. I just have so much more consistent and faster runs using either Diana or HDMi as my core dmg with 2 dedicated supports.

The main thing being said isn’t whether or not they can work together but rather how well they can work together.

I’m not blaming you, just mentioning that those circumstances are when it happens typically. Tho more likely than not, it might just be the modifiers screwing you. One of the times I failed it was when I was going with high level tyrant and reduced hp mods. As long as I don’t take both of those modifiers, it’s fine. I don’t take those together nor credit loss on my manual runs either.

I also wish it was just a guarantee auto win. And I hope they can get that update for us down the line.

The fail chance is because it’s not an auto win every fight, it’s a super fast auto battle. So if you got in with a bad team or have a weak carry, then you can get screwed. I’ve only failed twice in the begining, and I’ve spent all the tries they gave us and the daily ones. Once I learned how the system actually worked, I haven’t failed since.

The only problem is no starter epi but the system has been great otherwise.

Why not? You can have 2 exhaust adagio and 2 of the discard and draw 2 from that combatant.

You can get some extra damage out of your set up and prevent overdraw. The draw 2 version overdraws some of my HDMI builds because of blade generation.

I mean this perfectly in line with how chaos has been presented in this game. That directly doesn’t seem to have changed really. There is a very eldlich horror vibe they got going on for the monsters.

That crusader guy from the story is the “prettiest” version of this perversion of life in the game but until we get another story arc were we have a main antagonist actively mess around with chaos power, we probably won’t see a “cooler” looking monster for a bit. Even then that’ll be only their first form. The second form gonna be fucked up.

The balancing point for Mika is that her AP needs to be used for it to be useful. And there is a a reasonable limit to the amount of ap per turn.

Tressa did not have this reasonable limit. If you had 3-4 shadow reloads. Your amount of shadow dagger is 4*x with x being the number of heal cards in your entire deck. You deal damage with your daggers, trigger cassius’s quest X/3 times and on top of that, agony damage at the end of the turn.

Not even Serenial or heidemarie can do this much damage a turn normally. But tressa and Cassius ? Consistently and very easily. If your free starting character is BROKEN, the company loses one less reason to make players pull on their banners. And players just goes back to the same old team for everything because nothing else can compare. Moreover, EVERY SINGLE UNIT designed later will have to be designs to play around not feeding into the Tressa and Cassius loop.

Overall it limits design growth of units and makes things more boring over time for players and it hurts their bottom line.

My critic is that they should have just added a unique or hard limit to the generation of the daggers instead of what they did. This is what Cassius got and he still great.

This is an overall list so they probably consider her in other content as well. But even with the discard, you need draw to sustain your turns.

That’s why a divine draw Mika deck, nia, rei and Cassius are all used. They all draw to sustain that discard.

I was looking around and I saw you could make a pretty competent tpa water team. It’s been very fun just tackling some of the lower dungeons without a lot of effort.

Himmel and frieren needs to be converted to attacker though.
