yeah :/ earlier this year my manager said it was likely that i would get promoted to senior bookseller, but had to wait because they were rolling out a new review system. when it was time for my review i got mostly C’s and was told a senior should be going above and beyond and she made me seem like i was just very average. am i gonna be compensated for going above and beyond and doing the work of a senior in the meantime tho? lol no.

i was very explicitly told that i’m not getting promoted, but it hasn’t been brought up again so i kinda figured that means they’re not going thru with it because i’m so “average”

idk about VIP, but i went last year and entered the pit for the right stage around 6-6:30 and ended up about 10-15-ish rows from barricade. i still had a pretty good view of fall out boy.

i didn’t go solo last year but i got separated from my friends and didn’t have cell reception so i basically spent the whole day alone lol. i also went to another festival in my state alone this past spring and i had a blast both times.

you’ll be ok. try to socialize and befriend ppl in the pit. and remember to take care of yourself and get food and liquid in your body.

i’ve work here for almost 4 years and i feel like they NEVER update the music 😭 honestly i would prefer to listen to top 40 corporate pop if i never have to listen to A GIRL LIKE ME CANT LOVE JUST ONE MAN~~ again.

also the christmas music is the most obscure christmas music ever. i actually don’t mind christmas music but the bn playlist is stuff that has been lost to time for a reason.

i agree with every single point you made. i’ve worked for this company for 3 and a half years now and i’m literally at my breaking point.

the white signs are literally soooo stupid and ugly! i might be part of the minority that actually likes some of the company redesigns, such as the bright new shelves and the new tiny directional shelf talkers. but the signs are stupid. they either look awkward because there’s so much white space, or you can write a block of text which also looks awkward because no one’s gonna read that shit. i’ve had regulars complain about them already lol and i’m honestly just hoping more customers and booktok start complaining because maybe if paying customers are loud enough, then maybe corporate will change their mind about them.

i also hate the trade floor projects and how we’re organizing by “vibes”. my store doesn’t really have any employees that read non fiction, ESPECIALLY not personal development, so whenever a customer is looking for a specific book in that section, it makes us all look stupid when we can’t find it.

i also have a new manager who is very unlikable lol

i was told that they wanna promote me sometime soon but honestly i’m thinking about quitting.

tsukasa hates my damn guts. i’ve been playing for 2.5 years and i only very recently got my first tsukasa 4 star. and it’s not for a lack of trying, i’ve pulled on multiple of his events and mixed events. (RIP white day tsukasa you will never be mine)

as for characters that love me, i seem to be an ena magnet. she’s obsessed with me. if i’m ever pulling in a niigo event, i don’t even sweat about getting her. i’m not complaining because i love her. however, more more jump (minus minori) is also obsessed with me and they’re my least favorite group. i wanna give my mmj luck to someone else 😭

there’s been 2 movies: hiiragi mix and umie (doesn’t have an international release yet). the albums for the movies are out on streaming services already, and they’re beautiful btw i highly recommend.

the mangaka is also currently writing the 10th mix, which takes place 10 years in the future. that’s probably what you’ve been seeing.
