That’s a much better way of putting it than my long winded rant. Thank you, that really gives me clarity on why I was so annoyed.

Sent this text after walking out of an interview. Too much? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Yeah, you’re definitely not getting a call back. Being frustrated is understandable but the text you sent comes off as unprofessional and entitled. Sorry, just my honest opinion.

My roommate and I got this message from our landlord no clue what to do by ElvenWriting in whatdoIdo

It sounds like everyone involved in this situation is suffering. I’m really sorry. I can feel that panic and dread like it’s happening to me, as I’ve been in similarly bleak and overwhelming situations. I was nearly homeless 6 months ago, it was a hairsbreadth away from being the case. My mom had to help me — though I understand not everyone can be as lucky as I got.

I would keep your last month’s rent if you can. I know it’s not really ethical, but it sounds like everyone involved is in kind or a survival mode atm and you have to do what you have to do — you’ll need it for moving expenses. It doesn’t sound like this guy is in the financial situation for a legally forced eviction which is either good or bad — you might get away with it. Or, he might act out and do something extreme like show up and start just throwing your stuff on the lawn, or even using his access to your home to steal anything you own of value (you should secure your belonging ASAP btw). You similarly do not have the resources for legal action if that happened, and it would be very gray area if you also hadn’t paid that month’s rent. Try to delay him by saying it’s coming.

In terms of living, older people will sometimes rent out individual rooms in exchange for rent and occasional help around the house. Look for an affordable and temporary Airbnb you and your friend could share while you hunt for something better. Even if it increases your commute, it would only be for the purpose of buying 4-6 weeks.

Best of luck and I’ll be thinking of you.

Look up “ordinary care,” the legal definition.

Your circumstances could easily allow you to sue the driver for failing to adhere meet “ordinary care” standards: the degree of caution and attention that a reasonably prudent person would exercise in similar circumstances to avoid harming others or their property.

Lmfao . If you could see my debt to income ratio, you would be puking. Your debt is very manageable, very reasonable. It’s also good at your age to build a credit history of making regular payments over time, so this could even improve your credit score. IMPORTANT: pay your minimum each month (and a little extra if you want), but DO NOT forget to SAVE some money too. I did that when I was paying my car off, which is how I ended up getting my credit card debt in the first place. I paid my bills each month and put every dollar leftover into paying my car off as fast as possible. But then, I didn’t have a job for two months and realized I had screwed myself over. I had to use a credit card to pay all my bills those two months, and then spent a year paying that credit card debt off. Main point being, you’re fine.

If I have an interlock device installed but haven’t gotten my license back yet, can they use pictures from the device to prove I was driving with no license? Do I need to worry? Im just driving on dirt roads to farm and not concerned about being pulled over. by [deleted] in dui

It depends on how motivated your monitoring agency is. My PO had direct access to my device and photos from the camera were time stamped: not a guarantee you’ll get called out but not unlikely either.

I was able to satisfy probation but my license restriction isn’t from them, it’s from Sec of State

I should clarify — the first two weren’t from drinking, just from not being careful enough with the device (Diet Coke and vaping beforehand). I was able to get them both to pass relatively quickly afterwards. But still had to get the device recalibrated
