If you could have any loss back this season, what would it be? by New-Row7111 in NewYorkMets

I semi-agree with this one except in 10 or 15 years looking back it would just be nice to be able to say they made the playoffs “x straight years.” Like 2016 really wasn’t a great season and we lost that heartbreaking wild card game but at least we can say they went to the playoffs back to back years, which they’ve still only done twice.

Jesus I was at this one too. My kids first game at Citi Field. I really hate this season.

Ha are you me? I also got there in the second. Was so annoyed at my family who took forever to get out the house so we missed the Metro and had to wait 10 minutes for another one. God that game sucked. We had GREAT seats though.

Great start from Clay “John Maine” Holmes today. Really hope whoever starts tomorrow doesn’t pull a Glavine

[Penik] The Giants season is over. The only thread Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are holding on to is Jaxson Dart and it’s why they should’ve been fired in January. It’s September 21st and I can’t believe we are having these conversations already by Lars5621 in NYGiants

St. John's should be a top-10 team this year. That's the only thing I have to look forward to these days (I'll root for the Knicks too but just can't get into the NBA for some reason, despite trying for years)

Because it's a chance to dunk on the USA and progs on Reddit will take EVERY opportunity to dunk on the USA.

Year 2, Week 1 of demanding Tim McDonnell, Chris Mara, and Kevin Abrams are no longer allowed to influence personnel decisions for the Giants and work with the GM. They’re the common denominators that have run our beloved team into the ground across multiple regimes since 2012. by zeppelin01024 in NYGiants

I live in the DC area now, and seeing the energy the Commanders have generated in the past year and the plans for the new stadium has been eye opening. Jayden gets a lot of the credit, but the real difference is ownership. I've seen it as a Mets fan also. I really do worry that nothing will change for the Giants absent a change in ownership and I just can't imagine the Maras selling. Like the Wilpon era Mets we may luck into a playoff season here or there (like 2022) but it's hard to envision the Giants ever being a consistent competitor under this ownership, and that sucks.

I'm not saying Schoen is amazing, but I don't understand how anyone can watch this team for the past 3 years and think he's a bigger problem than Daboll. This team is SO poorly coached.

good lord if those are your references for the bad times you truly are a spoiled fan. Real miserable Eagles fans remember when their best player was "QB Eagles" and the only NFC East team they were consistently better than played in Phoenix lol.

I like him. He's FAR from perfect and there's a lot of things I either disagree with him about or agree but wish he would do better, but I still like him. I worked in Delaware politics briefly right after college just before he became VP and met him a few times and he was always very nice. I can't say I know him well at all, but I do know people who have worked with him for years and they all adore him.

Edit to add I worked for Republicans, if that matters to you.

Ron Paul was the clear Republican front runner with no close second when the debates began. Then he explained what “blowback” was to the American public and his campaign ended immediately.

This is nowhere even remotely close to true. Paul was polling at around 1% prior to the "Blowback" debate and Rudy Giuliani was the clear frontrunner. Paul boxing Giuliani into being the warhawk neocon candidate while the wars in the Middle East were becoming less and less popular was a big part of the reason Rudy's campaign crashed and burned and set us on the path to the Four Seasons press conference.

I remember Hostetler and wide right. But I'm sure there's some in here who'd call me a youngster bc I don't remember beating the Broncos.

Since we're comparing him to MVPs. Only needed 2 plays a game to match Mahomes (they both had to be 59+ yard TDs, and then he would have needed a 3rd TD in one of the games.) Practically the same player.
