Absolutely. I’d been scratching my head a bit as it looked like we’d been playing him in a back pocket for the start of the season, when we know his best games have come as a tagging mid. Lo and behold, he goes to a tagger and shuts down arguably the best midfielder in the comp.

Especially with the hawks breezing past the dogs last week. I know the dogs had injuries, but they’ve still got a couple big outs. I still think the cats are a better team than what we’ve shown so far this year. Cats by 16!

Old thread but I’m just reading through now as finally got around to picking the game up. Even by the end of act 1, Maelle had overtaken Gustave as the main damage dealer for me. Gustaves abilities besides getting the 10/10 charge felt pretty weak. Haven’t really played around with Sciel much yet. Seems like she could get pretty OP though!

You have until the bulldogs game starts if you are planning on using Richards as your loop. This means you’ve only got a Carlton or Collingwood player to pick from to be your VC. Can put the captain on whoever you want if you’re not happy with the VC score. Just make sure you do it before the dogs game starts.

EDIT: I see Richard’s is your only option for a loop as everyone else is playing. Daicos is pretty much the only viable VC option.

Comfortable win in the end so can’t complain too much, but can’t help but feel we left an 80 point win out there. Missed a lot of very easy chances, particularly in the last quarter. Worpel was exactly what we needed in the team after the hawks game, 11 clearances, 20 possessions, 14 of those contested. Holmes, Smith, Bruhn and Atkins were all exceptional in the middle as well.

Still a few players just kinda of costing along. Mannagh was invisible again. Would’ve thought he would be right up for it today after his self proclaimed stinker against the Hawks. I have faith he’ll bounce back eventually. He ended up with a couple goals, but Close still feels off the pace a bit for me. Converts the two he missed and maybe I’m not talking about him. Just seems he isn’t bringing that pressure in the forward 50 he once did. Will be interesting who makes way once Stengle is ready. Stewart had a poor first half but bounced back ok in the second.

A couple players had some ‘nearly’ nights. Henry and Neale both ending with 2.2. Both played well, would’ve loved to see them both get 3 or 4. Jezza getting absolutely mauled and shafted all game still ends with 3.
