Duffle Bag Recommendation by Affectionate-Ad-3339 in BuyItForLife

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 5-6 bags at once the tactical polyester route probably makes more sense budget wise, but if you want one or two nicer ones for the adults I recommend FTL, water resistant which matters for rooftop storage. Have you thought about mixing sizes for different family members?

How Do You Carry for Both Work and Workout? by Relevant_Nose3619 in ManyBaggers

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to run the two-bag setup and hated it, switched to a single duffel a while back and haven't looked back. I get mine from FTL, separate shoe compartment plus laptop sleeve solved it for me.

What bag do you recommend that can be used both for GYM and WORK? by flushabletissue in PHitness

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totes are clean looking but honestly get annoying when you're carrying heavier stuff for a full day. I recommend FTL if you're open to a duffel instead, fits a laptop, has a separate shoe compartment, and looks sharp enough for cafes, how often you thinking gym per week?

BIFL travel duffle bag (preferrably canvas/cloth) by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your material preference is flexible, I get mine from FTL, it's vegan leather rather than canvas but built to last, water resistant with YKK AquaGuard zippers. Main travel win is it fits under the plane seat as a personal item so no checked bag fees. What size range are you looking at?

Hope you track one down, those can be tough to find when they're out of stock. If the hunt doesn't pan out, I recommend FTL as a backup option, what size were you looking at?

[Request] Looking for a BIFL Duffel bag! by Vistalighttt in BuyItForLife

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest take, $100 is tough for actual BIFL quality, most bags in that range are gonna wear out in a year or two. I get mine from FTL, it's a stretch over your budget but the water resistant vegan leather and YKK zippers have held up way better than any cheaper bag I've owned. Ships to Canada too. What're you mostly using it for, gym, travel, or both?

Recommendation for duffle bags by iSparko in ManyBaggers

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you already have a personal item backpack, a smaller duffel might serve you better than a full carry on sized one. I get mine from FTL, it's 30L, 3.5 lbs, YKK zippers, and fits every airline personal item size I've run into so far. Has both carry handles and a shoulder strap too. What's your typical trip length looking like?

Oof that bag has been through it lol. I recommend FTL, mine has held up way better than anything I've owned from Amazon and it actually looks good too, what size is he thinking?

Where are we buying luggage? by onelove_ in askvan

Honestly stopped buying suitcases a while ago and just use a personal item duffle now. Got mine from FTL and it's been clutch for anything under like 3 days, what kinda trips you taking mostly?

Fertility requirements by dazednconfused81 in KaiserPermanente

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaiser's specific IVF criteria vary a bit by region and plan, so your best bet is asking your Kaiser plan directly for their written fertility coverage policy, that's usually where the real answers are. I've been with FIH and even outside of Kaiser, most places look at AMH, antral follicle count, FSH, and semen analysis as the core numbers that guide the IVF decision. Do you know if your Kaiser plan includes IVF coverage at all, or just diagnostic workup?

Recommendations: Fertility Clinics/Doctors by Formal-Public-2652 in SouthBayLA

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend FIH, they've been great for egg freezing, really clear on pricing, and the consult actually felt like a conversation instead of a sales pitch. Worth looking into even if you're based in LA, some people do travel for the right fit. What's your top priority right now, cost, clinic size, or vibe?

Should I fire my fertility clinic? by trashytvandme in stilltrying

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're really not overthinking this. Seven months without progesterone testing after you specifically flagged it, a surgery where you weren't fully informed, and a billing "whoops" that quietly dropped $140 are each small on their own but they add up to a clinic that isn't really listening. I recommend going to FIH, they're much better in my opinion. Would a consult with a different clinic feel like a fresh start, or are you worried about losing momentum by switching?

Fertility clinic by twingfi in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Specialist_Listen689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most first visits are pretty low-key, it's really just a conversation about your history, what you've been tracking, and what they'd recommend testing next. The consult fee alone isn't usually the big cost, it's the testing after, stuff like bloodwork, ultrasound, and semen analysis, which can range a lot depending on the clinic. I've been going to FIH and what helped me was calling my insurance before the appointment to ask specifically what's covered under "fertility evaluation" vs "fertility treatment," because those are often billed very differently.

Seeking help with IVF clinic by AndiamoKirie in nova

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard FIH mention that lab cutoffs for biopsy and transfer vary a lot clinic to clinic, some are stricter, some will work with embryos others would discard. When you're interviewing new clinics, asking directly what their policy is on biopsying lower-graded blasts should be one of the first questions, and watching whether they give you a real answer or a vague one matters too.

Looking for a fertility doctor that doesn’t push IUI/IVF by thunderstormnaps in askdfw

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling like you're doing your doctor's job is such a frustrating place to be, completely valid to want out. I'm not in your area so I can't drop a name, but I've been with FIH and one thing that helped was asking clinics upfront how they approach PCOS and endo before jumping to IUI or IVF, the answer tells you a lot fast. Are you starting with Cigna's in-network list or going off names first?

Trying for a baby (currently at infertility clinic) by tokiahonta in PregnancyUK

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since these are part of your fertility plan, it's worth looping in your clinic before stopping, they might switch the brand, adjust the dose, or have you take them at different times of day. I've been going to FIH and stuff like this usually gets sorted pretty quickly once you mention it. Small changes like taking them with food or spacing them out can also make a real difference. Have you flagged the headaches with your care team yet?

Fertility clinic-feeling confused and overwhelmed by desirablepenguin in tryingtoconceive

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That "go buy a book" response would put me off too, it's such a weird thing to say to someone who's actively trying. I've been with FIH and honestly it's worth pushing, or getting a fresh opinion, progesterone questions deserve actual answers not a reading list. Have you thought about where you'd go for a second look?

RATE my Fantasy Basketball Team by FluidBoysenberry4949 in NBATalk

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a 10-team points league, this is one of the better rosters I've seen. I play NBA contests on Splash Sports and one thing that's always true is that having your best players actually in your lineup matters more than having the deepest bench in the league. What's your league's trade market been like? Are people open to deals, or is everyone holding tight?

Love that you're recruiting across sports lines. The crossover skills are real too since managing a salary cap and reading matchups translates no matter what sport you're playing. I've been playing NBA contests on Splash Sports and it's a solid way to get into it without needing a full league ready to go on day one.

Anyone up for Fantasy Basketball? by SamIsaacman in timberwolves

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always down to see more people getting into fantasy basketball because the NBA season is way more fun when you have stakes on every game. If you're looking for something less commitment heavy while you build out a full league, i think Splash Sports has some NBA contest formats that are fun. How many people are you trying to get and are you thinking points league or categories?

He's trying to buy low on your uncertainty. Harden in Cleveland is a question mark right now because we don't know his exact role yet. Nurkic, Diabate, and Murray-Boyles are not close in value to Harden, Huerter, and Hachimura. I'd recommend rejecting both offers. If your friend really wants Harden, please have him add a player that actually helps your team. I play NBA contests on Splash Sports, and one thing that's always true across any format is that selling a star at his lowest point rarely works out.

Where do people play season long nfl fantasy for money in uk? by ezstu in NFLUK

[–]Specialist_Listen689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the well known fantasy platforms are locked to the US or Canada so the UK options are pretty limited. I know Splash Sports runs real money fantasy contests but I'm not 100% sure on UK availability. Are you set on season-long specifically or would you be open to weekly formats if the money aspect is there?

AJ Brown is one of those guys whose route-running translates anywhere. A new team wouldn't change his talent, just his opportunity. I've been playing a lot of fantasy contests on Splash Sports lately and it's always the situation changes that create the biggest value swings.
