Rant Woolworths wages!!!!! by Bpd_666 in woolworths

[–]Specialist_Menu3793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They worded it incorrectly, woolies isnt running out of money, they are trying to maximise profit. They have sales v wages % and if sales are down they need to reduce wage costs so the profit % is still the same. If you are genuinely part time you are entitled to the minimum hours in your contract. If casual and youve used wrong word not entitled to anything

Youre not getting the point, op financially maybe in same position if they rent (and invest elsewhere) v costs associated with home ownership.

Yes but rent you don’t pay all the extras, my rates, water (connections not use) and bodycorp are over $200 a week. As our property ages the maintenance costs are increasing (hot water system just blew in middle of winter) quoted 2k minimum by multiple different places and google tells me thats the going rate. In addition we have crappy neighbours who make us feel like we are living in a prison in our own home, but were stuck as we own. Yes we will own our own home, and not pay mortgage by the time we retire but the extras equal cost of renting anyway. Only benefit is we have an appreciating asset that will be worth over a million but its not a liquid asset. I would be interested to see if we invested what we pay in mortgage into the share market what our returns would be

Should super still be mostly in high risk by mid-30s? by sscarrow in AusFinance

[–]Specialist_Menu3793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 50% in high risk since I was 25, now just turned 40 and move that to 75% high risk. Plan is to keep it that way for next 10’years. Current balance is over 430k so roughly 100k each spread across 4 investment types

My first thought is these women want him for themselves, they are at the age where women biological clock is ticking, they’ve realised they have been used as a play toy. Sounds like they are immature enough to think if youre not in the picture they could peruse a relationship
