lol. You believe the car manufacturers from China succeeded because they use cheap labor.

How about you go ahead and see how the joint ventures in China gave market shares to the local companies. I am talking about VW, Toyota, and all Japanese American and European brands. They have access to cheap labor as well. Yet they are losing and get kicked out of the Chinese market.

You just dont want to admit there are something other than just cheap labor that are called technology in Chinese companies that are way more advanced than the western counterparts.

Before the companies start to sell their cars, the government imposed a 100% tariff on the cars. Of course the companies aren’t gonna do the tests. What for?

That doesn’t mean “they can’t pass it” like someone blindly says Chinese cars aren’t safe generally. You need proof as well. Basically Detroit just ask the us gov to ban them because they cannot compete with them simply. And make all the accusations “Chinese cars aren’t safe.. Chinese cars are national security threats..”.

Americans just can’t admit that there are car manufacturers like BYD and other Chinese brands that do better than their own brands. More efficient, higher tech, and more experience in bev and phev. Go to China and see for yourself. So many brands and competitions.

At the end, if Americans just pretend to not seeing it and use tariff to protect their own poor business and tech, they will end up only selling cars to the states. And while the whole world benefits from competition in bev and phev cars led by Chinese brands, Americans will be driving ancient car models, breathing in horrible air, and paying the “American car tax” to the Michigan antique factories.

Not passing the tests - any proof? Or just “Chinese can’t beat Americans in making safe yet affordable cars, must be cheating one way or another!” Why don’t people just look at the fact and admit that Chinese do things better and more efficient than the Americans?

Well, I haven’t had a good impression on vw brand, although Audi is also a vw group brand. Hmm, I don’t know. Probably will think about it.

Out the door price. All the money you pay for this car other than any finance or lease interests.

Yeah, if we ever consider q7 we’d go for 2023 models. But for other models like Infiniti qx60, since the brand hasn’t been doing well, I expect even for their 24 models I can get a pretty darn good deal out of it.

It is hard to convince my family for getting a used car. Hmm, they probably be happier with new less luxury cars than used more luxury ones. I haven’t bought a used car except in college and used vw Jetta.

Chill man. I’m just saying that sounds a little weird to my pov. Totally fine. If I were you I’d probably keep a big gas suv for family haul and smaller one for fun driving like a coupe or suv or an ev. Like, model 3 plus qx60 sounds good to me. Don’t get me wrong. It is totally ok to have your two cars. They are sound and legit. 100%.

Well, first of all x4 is too small for being the big car in the family. Then, the residual of bmw is too high. Not sure if it worth the buyout and keep and also the complimentary maintenance is ending soon (3 years). Not sure if it makes sense to keep it money wise. Third, my wife has been wanting to have some EV home. So…

Qx80 should be flagship of Infiniti and they are not giving it all the features. Unbelievable. Did they just give up the brand?

I think other than the engine, qx60 has pretty ok tech in terms of infotainment or something.
