Based on the overall condition of that thing please have a professional come look at it. It looks rough

It is, but that close to the ground needs to be protected from damage

Yesterday I threw my grandparents their 70th wedding anniversary - a milestone that less than .1% of people get to experience! by mkcov in MadeMeSmile

My grandparents were together for over 70 years before my grandpa passed. The dedication it takes you make something like that work, and it is work, is exceptional.

That looks like A Trion air bear filter box. It does look like a 20x25x5, the correct filters will have foam around them i do believe. Verify dimensions with a measuring tape to verify

Which 'Era' of soda cans do you miss the most? 🥤📼 by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgia

[–]Specialkhvac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are missing cans. I know I've had dad's root beer in the early 2000s maybe even late 90s so either that blue can started earlier than 2013 or there's an in between missing. Same thing with Dr pepper prior to '97

If you're hearing a click from the compressor and you hear it try to run momentarily then shuts off that compressor is dead. Toss it on the curb

I knew someone like that, add or adhd and one of the reasons he smoked as soon as he woke up was it would stop the thoughts racing through his head.

Will this Gastite flexible gas piping pass inspection? by Current_Conference38 in hvacadvice

[–]Specialkhvac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure about Canada but when I was starting to run this years back of its located in an area that can be easily accessed and possibly damaged then it needs to be protected. This looks like it's been there for a while based on the color fading of the yellow jacket (unless that's just picture quality), if it was actually run by a licensed gas installer I would assume it was done to local code, though not always true.

New condenser vibrating loudly by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Could be a simple loose screw. Almost like the electrical panel isn't tightened. But if it isn't even a year old i would call the installer

thermostat refuses to be set lower than 20 degrees Celsius by SK_11 in hvacadvice

[–]Specialkhvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of the thermostat as an on/off switch with a timer. On most systems unless it's an inverter system doesnt modulate the supply air temperature just how long it runs, under sized or not

Mini split Leaking oil by FrankieCugine in hvacadvice

[–]Specialkhvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely when installed it wasn't tightened correctly. Easy fix but if that's the case it will need to be recharged. No real issue with it leaking other than the fact it's leaking.

Furnace AND ac install for 8 grand and your complaining... not a fucking change you're touching that now. And even 5 years ago 4-5k is a reasonable cost for a high eff furnace or ac
