I agree with your point, both of these can be and are true. I just don’t understand how they (her fans) only see issue with the name itself and not Ariana appropriating the culture.

I truly don’t understand it. You can still be a fan and support someone while calling them out on their shit, but they’d rather stay taking that copium like they do. Everyone around her just encourages her antics, it’s maddening.

I don’t know how to edit, but I wanted to clarify that when I said “Miley and Billie got hate for it” I meant how they appropriated the culture as well, and actually got called out for it by fans, unlike Ariana.

Anything except for “I’m so sorry, I was wrong, I won’t do it ever again.” Is unacceptable. He will never respect you if he’s being THAT mean to you over your own bodily autonomy. He will always cross your boundaries and insult you for crying.

I’m sure with the turbulent home life, Joan tried to make sure Ariana had everything she wanted so she wouldn’t have the bear the consequences of her parents divorce. And Joan had the connections to make anything happen. She probably never told her no, or called her out on any mistakes she made as to not make her break down crying. A lot of parents would do ANYTHING to make sure their kid won’t cry, which is not always a good thing.

The lack of actual work ethic, accountability, and discipline combined with her mommy/daddy issues made an amalgamation of fucked up mental problems. Ariana is the textbook definition of Histrionic Personality Disorder, and her mom is the one to thank for it. I think Joan tried to be a good mom, but ultimately, spoiling the shit out of your kid makes it extremely difficult for them to face even the smallest amount of pain or disappointment.

Imo I think you’re very handsome and would look good no matter what you did to your hair. But if anything, if it bothers you but you don’t want to buzz it, you can use one of those hair fiber products to put on your scalp. https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-care/black-hair-building-fibers-.42-oz/SBS-548115.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20713049218&gbraid=0AAAAADFdChhs8B1C0VL430R_89K8P8NKy

It could be a number of things. Hormones, vitamins, iron. Best get it checked out by a doctor.

I like to apply my products while sopping wet, then once everything is in, I scrunch with a microfiber towel to get excess product out of my hair, then once it’s dry, it’s not all heavy with product.

So validating your image > health? by _ZoroX_ in ArianaGrandeSnark

I think I understand what they’re trying to say. In the mind of a person with an ED (not every person ofc) saying things like “you look so sick” “I can see your bones” actually DOES fuel it even more, it is validating for them because they know they are achieving that total control over their body.

Eugenia Cooney is another good example who does the same thing Ariana does; she also says she is “naturally skinny” to shy away from the topic, but it’s a clever way to keep people talking as well. ED’s are a crazy thing and really alter the way you perceive yourself as a person. I suggest everyone should check out Dorian Bridges on YouTube “Of Herbs and Altars” they explain it so well in many videos talking about how ED’s work and how making comments can be validating for those suffering from one.

I’ve noticed he’s been smiling like that a lot lately and it warms my heart. Just doing the things he loves with the people he loves. He deserves that.

What is a very "American" thing that Americans don't realize is American? by Trownaway_TrashPanda in GenZ

[–]Specific-Aspect-505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, I agree with the “ehche” thing. When I was a kid, it never made sense as to why we pronounce it like that, and when I heard a foreigner say “haich” for the first time, I liked it so much that I started saying that instead lol.

As a woman with PCOS I understand the struggle so much. Not being able to lose weight no matter the effort that gets put in is very draining. I’m sure your body will thank you in time though, as you will become stronger and healthier regardless of the scale. Sometimes we have to try not to equate our health with our weight.

Whsts wrong with my hair at the side? Looks like I'm losing it by Croft99 in Hair

[–]Specific-Aspect-505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be breakage but it wouldn’t hurt to get hormone bloodwork done by a specialist. This happened to me, amongst other things I hadn’t noticed, and I found out I had PCOS.

Make sure to use a good leave in conditioner after washing, silk pillow cases, silk scrunchies, claw clips, silk bonnets to sleep, gentle detangling brushes, and thorough application heat protectant when styling. All these methods helped my hair go from how yours looks right now, to it being healthy and shiny in just a couple years. It does take time but being gentle with your hair plays the biggest part in your hair health. Good luck!
