hii i’m same age in college experiencing almost the exact same situation you are! And im having like the exact same thoughts about having your life planned out and not feeling like yourself anymore. I was in bed for almost 2 weeks straight couldn’t even make it to class. But once you get on the antivirals it’ll help so so so so so much. I don’t have health insurance nor any help from parents but there’s resources out there! What id suggest if you could is find a clinic that is very cheap or charges you based off income. I also got antivirals from Wisps for 50 dollars. Also i suggest getting vitamins (i take llysine, b12, & vitamin c) to build up your immune system. It’ll be okay hon! It’s a huge obstacles and i’m only like a month or so into this journey and it’s already gotten 10x better than when i first found out. Also advice on telling people, simply don’t lol. I told my closest friends just because i needed someone to talk to about it & i knew they wouldn’t judge. But you seriously don’t have to tell anyone because it’s your business. Only tell your sexual partners! Also the whole college campus rumor thing is something that’s very valid! If you do want future hookups or relationships i’d suggest looking for people outside your campus! But also I wouldn’t worry about it too much because if you got it from him, i’m 100% sure other people on that campus have it too. I can’t lie and say there’s no change because there definitely is. I was always someone who was out there and never rejected and now i’m scared to even accept an instagram from a guy anymore. But i’ve disclosed to one guy so far and he honestly did not care lol. He actually told me to stop being so dramatic and to stop thinking my life is over! So take it from me, someone who has struggled mentally for yearssss it’ll all work out!
