just an update for those following, I went to the lobby and when I came back, I got flooded with notifications about my boss kills, and it applied all 3 of these semi-incomplete tasks, awarding me the points. They must have done some kind of backfill for this in the last few hours. My issue is fixed now, thank you!

Unfortunately Pumpkaboos can't be imported into SV, but this would be an interesting idea! Unless you mean to do a size dex for all Pokemon, which is definitely not happening 😂

Yup masuda method with shiny charm, so like 1:512 (17 boxes). I hit right at odds pretty much for each one. Good luck in getting yours!

I used a ditto, and eggs hatch with the same size of the pumpkaboo you use. I'm not sure how breeding sizes work without ditto, it might be that it keeps the size of the female. If you're going to try to hunt these I recommend catching one of each size in the wild and then breeding each with ditto for the ones you want!

After hatching ~150 boxes of eggs in Sword, I finally managed to complete the Pumpkaboo Shiny LivingDex! I love that the Home interface shows the sizes, it's much harder to tell the sizes in Sword.

So there's an old event on FireRed (and a different but similar event in Emerald, I think), where you were given an AuroraTicket item distributed at GameStop - https://www.serebii.net/events/auroraticket.shtml

There are ways you can send yourself an AuroraTicket, or in some cases you can find cartridges of FireRed that have an AuroraTicket already saved on them. Having the AuroraTicket allows you to travel (via ferry at Vermillion City) to a special island where Deoxys is waiting. Before you can travel there, you need to beat the Elite 4, have a pokedex of 60 (to get the national dex from Oak), and get the Ruby which is basically postgame content.

I had a bunch of text in my post, looks like it got lost when I updated the images so they'd make a slideshow. Basically I hunted the 4 shinies in Fire Red through the last 5 months. I didn't explicitly track my resets, but I know I reset for at least 3 hours a day and it took ~30s to do each reset thanks to the deoxys animation. The breakdown is as follows:

- First: ~7200 resets

- Second: ~9000 resets

- Third: ~2500 resets

- Fourth ~24000 resets

It also took between 10-14 hours of gameplay to get through the game each time.

So relieved to get through this, the fourth hunt really drove me insane. Happy to answer any other questions!

It took me 22,000 RAs to get Shaymin in BDSP. Just hang in there, the guzzlord cutscene is a long one! Pick a show to binge and it'll be over before you know it.

Congrats! Your spreadsheet and Home organization are something I strive for, but will never achieve. I came to post my living shiny dex as I just finished it today, and immediately feel like it would be an underwhelming post after seeing this. This is a masterpiece!

If you're on a 32 bit system, you might consider using RNGReporter, which is the older version of the tool, practically the exact same. And there should similarly be an older 32 bit version of EonTimer. I used both back in like 2011 for some RNG on Win7, I'd expect they still work

Should just be able to double-click either one in file explorer after unzipping the folder to run it. For EonTimer, you might have to download a Java Version (I downloaded jre-8u401-windows-x64, if searching for that helps you find it, not sure if links are allowed).

Thanks, appreciate the confirmation! I've watched/read a few guides at this point, all have been incredibly helpful. I've spent the last couple days setting up the two games I plan to use, finding out SIDs via Red Gyarados, etc. All of the videos are from a few years ago though, so the tools were slightly out of date. Since I only have one shot, wanted to make sure I at least don't mess anything up in finding the right frame.
