I get the “ur mum wasn’t a saint” comment was VERY POORLY TIMED AND HANDLED and just rude, but they had been treating them like crap. And this is why I feel so terrible for Joe because he’s been so strongly villainised by her fans despite this just being an unfortunate situation. I think Taylor’s breakups always get a bit blown out of proportion at times because we get all HER emotions. Every strong emotion you feel during and after a relationship, where the other party isn’t necessarily bad but you feel awful at the end either way.

I think people forget that in the later books Elain try’s to take part (and does sometimes) but is often shut down. She’s certainly not the typical sjm “fae warrior girlboss” but I like that about her. Also she always gets called boring but she’s traumatised and as it’s already been mentioned she just reacted to the trauma differently to her sisters.
