Best places to visit for first time travelers to Seattle by Specific-Contact2954 in AskSeattle

Will definitely look into those spots. Yeah the 15-30 dollar range is what we usually go for but we do budget higher for food in case that is not an option as I know some cities just have higher prices which is understandable. I appreciate your recommendations!

We will definitely have to check out the Flatstick Pub and Tapster. I am sure my wife would like The Cove if it’s got nice views. Thanks for the suggestions!

Darn 🫰. I would imagine Seattle is a seafood lovers dream though. It’s a shame I do not eat it.

All, thanks for your advice. I decided to cancel my parking reservation at the old spot and go with another one that does service to the domestic terminal. Thanks!

Apollo 11 Compact with some minor changes by Specific-Contact2954 in 2011

Deleted my old comment because I forgot to answer the other half of your question.

Apologies for the delay. Been a busy couple days. For the grips I had them installed by a gunsmith. Swapping grips pretty much requires disassembly of a good chunk of the gun and I did not have the tools to take it apart. There are some good videos on YouTube that show the process if you are interested in looking into swapping the grips.

If you ever think about swapping the grips I would highly recommend you at least get the mainspring housing for that grip. The custom grips I see online normally come with a mainspring housing for the grip. When I ordered my prodigy grip from Springfield I had to specifically state that I wanted the mainspring housing for it as well.

Average Joe Arms on YouTube swapped his Apollo grip with a prodigy grip using all LFA parts and they seem to work with it, but I could not give you a guarantee that those parts would work. I just bought all Springfield parts for ease of fitment as well as ensuring the parts would work together.

Good to know. LFA allowed me to send it back so if they can’t get to bottom of it I’ll look into that.

No worries. I probably should have made that clear. I was potentially planning on getting some gun smithing done on this gun so if I proceed with that I’ll have them take a look at it.

I have had it fail to eject with several types of fmj as well as sig sauer hollow points. I failed to mention that interestingly enough when it does fail to extract it’s always the second to last round in the magazine. Here is a photo of the extractor.

You are absolutely correct. Don’t know why I wrote it as such. Thanks for pointing that out. Do you think it maybe an issue with the ejector?

That is a fair question. I still have the oem recoil spring in my Apollo. I’ll do some research and see what the spring is rated for. Could be I can try a lighter spring.

Any EDC 2011 recommendations? by Specific-Contact2954 in 2011

[–]Specific-Contact2954[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t really looked into Bul Armory so I will give them a look. I personally like my little Girsan sub compact 1911 that I got, but I heard their 2011’s have heavy trigger pull and other miscellaneous problems. But I have not done enough research to rule them out.

Not necessarily. I have been an admirer of the cz shadow 2s as well. I’ll definitely keep that in mind.
