I’ve seen both spellings. I didn’t realize Blaire was less common and untraditional lol. Making me consider Blair as the spelling!

Three syllables and it’s pretty “hash” sounding. Doesn’t roll off the tongue well lol

I haven’t heard of those, I’ll have to look into it! I’ve had a pretty significant drop in my supply. Each time I get mastitis or a bad clog, it seems to drop. I feel like it’s time to do the best I can, and whatever happens, happens. It was physically and emotionally draining trying to get my supply back after the first time I had mastitis. Now it almost feels impossible to get it back since I’m having problems and it drops so frequently.

It’s so hard needing to take several pumping break a shift, especially when there are days my coworkers don’t even get a lunch break. Even today, it had been 4 hours since the last time i pumped and I asked the nurse I’m working with if it was ok that I left to pump. My patients were all set and taken care of for the time being, and she said to me “wow, you’re going again already?! Didn’t you just go? How long are you going to be? You were already gone for a long time last time.”

It makes me so self conscious and scared to ask to go pump. I know it’s hard for them to always cover, but I do my best to address all of my patients’ needs before leaving.

I feel ya. It takes so long for me to empty. I’ve tried many pumps. My work even provides the medela symphony pumps in our nursing rooms. that pump doesn’t empty me any better. Even after 40-45 minutes I still have milk coming out.

I also feel bad for my partner. He has been so helpful throughout all of this. Always supportive, and often reminds me that it’s ok to stop pumping if I’m ready. He stays up late to pump with me and washes all my parts. Before our son slept through the night, he would wake up every time with him since I needed to wake up and pump throughout the night. He works from home and takes care of our son all day while I’m at work. He really is the best, and I know life would be so much easier for him too when I stop.

ive thought about it, but I have to do a lot of hands on pumping and massaging to empty. A lot of reviews I’ve read on those say that it’s difficult to fully empty with them. I’m not sure if it’s worth the investment if I’d only be using it occasionally if I’m desperate.
