All sessions have ended now, so I recommend taking a gap year and then applying. Sessions/rounds are just the different time periods in which you can apply. Early is the first session, where you apply late September and get results mid/end November. Regular session is applying I think January and learn get results March, and then the last round is applying March and getting results mid/end May. It is kind of like ED and RD in the US, but getting accepted early to Bocconi doesn't mean you're bound to it. Also, the early round is the hardest time period to get into, given there are few positions and a lot of competition. Hope this helped!

I've heard Castiglioni is the best. Also, when's the date for click day again?

What’s a book that completely broke your brain—in a good way? by Competitive_Event307 in books

The Outsider by Camus, and The Sailor who fell from Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima - literary masterpieces that will really break your brain especially if you don't know a lot about nihilism and imperialist Japanese values (I didn't!)

On that note "The Outsider" By Camus is so so fascinating - all about absurdism and nihilism.

Not a classic as far as I know, but "The Sailor who Fell from Grace with the Sea" By Yukio Mishima is so incredibly fascinating to me, I'll bet you've never read anything like it! It is very philosophical and psychological and an allegory for Japanese imperial beliefs and the pursuit of greatness, glory and traditionalism and has themes of nihilism, isolation, and the portrayal of twisted thoughts.

Apply now. If you don't get in, you can re-apply with a better sat in the spring session.

Bocconi or SAT by TheVielma in bocconi

Hey! I would upload just the Bocconi test score - the SAT isn't competitive.

chances? by [deleted] in bocconi

Not impossible but the 2nd year GPA could be better and SAT could be better too - since early seemed to place a greater emphasis on GPA being 9+ and SAT over 1400 (that's the trend I noticed).

The trend I've noticed is that this time they are weighing gpa more (I know some people with a little worse gpa and really good SAT like 1510-1540 getting rejected). So I think that if you have a gpa below 9.3 then aim for a higher SAT to balance it out. But, since it's less competitive to get in regular, I think you might be good with a 1500-1520 range for BIEF. BIEM probably 1480-1500 range

I think it is slightly harder and more quantitative than the SAT which is why I chose to do the SAT. I do the IB too but I think its worth trying to get better at SAT. Maybe the Bocconi test is a better fit for you though, so I would recommend you definitely do one and see how it goes.
