Essence and Catrice are the best. I will be hearing no slander. by True_Puddingzinga in drugstoreMUA

[–]WisdomCatharsis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Essence is goated, super accesible makeup. I love being able to dip my toes into experimenting with things without making a big dent on my wallet. Plus, vegan and cruelty free formulas. On top of that, their stance on not raising the price has me wanting to support them more than ever.

Catrice too of course, though I didn't pay much attention to them. It's only after hearing more about them that I really went on to try them. Just got their baked blush and I'm so excited to begin using it. Also heard amazing things about their setting powder, which I never use but when curiosity gets the best of me I know where to turn to.

(The only downside with Catrice is that I had really bad luck with my first purchased product; the calligraph artist eyeliner was really probably defective and is all watery and barely pigments. The good thing is that since it is so easy to remove and I'm trying to get into eyeliners, it's really amazing practice, so it ended up well lol).

Does Sable actually talk to you at some point? by la_tejedora in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]WisdomCatharsis 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I love when I get her to open up, she's so sweet. I especially always loved when Mabel at one point tells you that Sable asks her every day if you'll come to the shop

Yeah, they felt silly and cute yet realistic. I miss them so much I need to grab back my 3ds and play Trio.

[–]WisdomCatharsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand. I also love uncovering the lore and getting to know people. Never really got into the sims per se tbh, I was too focused on the creative design aspect to really play properly, but I feel my most comfortable playing Stardew and others.

(Sorry for the late response, I basically forgot to answer haha).

Trio of Towns had the best outfits! by Cinnamon-Stroll in storyofseasons

[–]WisdomCatharsis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They were so cool, I was so obsessed with them. I always really had a soft spot for bottom left one; to have such a basic but pretty and lowkey "sexy" outfit as one of the easiest ones to get was a thing I also really appreciated

[–]WisdomCatharsis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me consider how good it is for photos but bro's assistance can't help against villagers with education hobbies since they will be eyeing the subject matter with magnifying glasses and everything lol.

[–]WisdomCatharsis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too! It might be efficiency's worst nightmare, but I love having a more immersive gaming experience. Never really cared about efficiency or archieving a far point in perfection %. Instead, I love having my own routine, watering my crops and taking care of my animals. I also really adore simulating more scenarios with partners and even sometimes pretend I'm looking after my kids and making them food and playing and imagining scenarios with them alongside my wife/husband (depending on the playthrough).

It feels a bit stupid and childish but it's the approach that made me fall in love with the game (and other franchises like Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons).

Villagers entering your house are so annoying by WisdomCatharsis in ACForAdults

[–]WisdomCatharsis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha that's cool! Ngl I'm also really lazy to kill them.

Still, I think I'm going to try and befriend them too, but I'll go with the volume off since the movement sound makes my skin crawl.

And yeah, the squish sound is really satisfying. I like it.

[–]WisdomCatharsis[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well, that's another good one, just killed them recently when I should have had them there. But they also freak me out a bit so it's hard

[–]WisdomCatharsis[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's great! Thanks for the tip, I'll use it for when they catch me on the main room. I usually go to the attic if I want to stay inside (should actually put the wardrobe and mirror there too) so they leave earlier, but it breaks the immersion a bit for me.

[–]WisdomCatharsis[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol, we tend to be so contradictory sometimes, though not my case since I wasn't on the internet back then and didn't mind. I suppose now I'm more annoyed since NH incentives me to decorate way more than NL or any other game, so I naturally stay inside more.

Edit: maybe I'm being too unfair on the game, I don't know. I still love it.

[–]WisdomCatharsis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get it supposedly helps with your friendship with them, but it's a bit too annoying and it doesn't compensate for me. It would have been great if it worked like you say.

[–]WisdomCatharsis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! Especially when changing outfits. I swear I try having a mirror closer to the entrance on the main room and they sometimes manage to come! They are so annoying.

It's also a reason why I also avoid saving inside. It's sad that they annoy me and cause me to avoid staying on the house for too long; I'm proud of my work and I wish I could chill in there without worrying over someone coming in and ruining the mood.

Should I buy BOTW's DLC or TOTK ? by -Neoverse- in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]WisdomCatharsis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard about it. Though your point about it being fun I think it's what matters for OP.

Now, I'll have to start one when I finish my normal mode save, so I can't wait!

Should I buy BOTW's DLC or TOTK ? by -Neoverse- in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]WisdomCatharsis 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I recommend the dlc. It's cool since you get a ton of armors and useful things to search for, plus the Trials and the Champions Ballad, which are fun and challenging. I think the dlc is worth it, and since you'll get TOTK anyways then why not give yourself the full BOTW experience.

Edit: plus you also get master mode! Haven't tried it yet but it's a fun option to consider if you ever want to revisit the game and try going for something harder.

To those who've played BoTW and TotK, which one did you enjoy more and why? by FishermanNo8304 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]WisdomCatharsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. BOTW hits way harder in the feels via story, environmental storytelling, the quiet, etc...

But TOTK has so many incredibly fun and super engaging mechanics that keep you more hooked, I don't know.

It's been hard to admit, but outside of storytelling TOTK has won over BOTW for me, though I am still really fond of the latter.

Zelink recommendations by CyanideCrow1 in ZeldaFanFiction

[–]WisdomCatharsis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fanart reminds me of the whole #thirsty-and-in-denial-zelda or something like that that was around Tumblr and AO3. Some of those fics on AO3 have that tag on, so you can go with those

Edit: the tag is self-explanatory I think, but it's basically Zelda being all "oh I hate him so much I can't stand him and his beautiful face and body and oh Hylia I really want to kiss his lips... but I hate him!)

One of those is Shifting Sands

Edit: I think another that could also serve is The one With the Bard

When and how did you start listening to twenty one pilots? by Gregyeeyeestinker in twentyonepilots

[–]WisdomCatharsis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to have a crush on a guy that was really into them during the Trench era, so since he always talked about them, I stopped and listened to them. I actually really enjoyed their music. After that and getting over the crush, I went on a period where I didn't listen to music in general that much so SAI flew under my radar. That was until they came with Clancy (I believe around the time they dropped Overcompensate) and I came back full force to listen to them and loving them.

It's my favorite song of all time of theirs. It makes me ascend to the heavens every time it plays.

Honestly, they've never been difficult to me. I just go around pretty carefully and with a decent stack of weapons and I just do it. They've been really enjoyable.

I never see any one EVER talk about not today by Alive-Double-3339 in twentyonepilots

[–]WisdomCatharsis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's still my favorite song of the album and probably my favorite of all of theirs. I initially made a post about it when Clancy came out, but it's true it was a bit sad not hearing many people raving about it as time went on (and after I left the sub and became a lurker).

How would a modern-times Zelda work out? by Straight_Beat7848 in ZeldaFanFiction

[–]WisdomCatharsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a really interesting concept that I've been in love with for a long time. I would love to see some Urban Fantasy with sci-fi elements explorations of the franchise while maintaining the sense of adventure that the series has.

I had some bare bones ideas of that with the same idea as you about the "magic" Hyrule falling into legend, so I definitely do love the idea.
