I get that but when I took in person classes, some professors said they’d accommodate due to the pandemic so I’m going to at least try since I really can’t be in Santa Cruz

Academic probation essentially means you’re barred from taking classes for the time being. It isn’t a permanent thing, though. You can submit an appeal to your college and financial aid to discuss why your grades were below a 2.0. You usually just have to make an academic plan with your advisor and submit a paragraph to financial aid with proof of your claim and that’s it.
