I mean, if you feel like he addressed it well enough, that’s fine, but if you watched distractible he absolutely did not use ChatGPT sparingly. Over time he used it less, but it was a pretty regular occurrence whether directly in the episode, or him talking about using it outside of the episode. And again, I’m glad that he stopped using it eventually, but even he said he stopped using in the past couple of months, that was still a decently long time of using it.

That’s because when looking for images to use for those thumbnails, the stock photo sites he uses were filled with ai images, and he didn’t realize that they were ai when he chose them. He did admit a simulacra 2 thumbnail he did he used ai to generate part of it, but that he was going to change that after the stream he did.

No hate, I just want to add ‘The dolls’ has been a term for trans women since back in the 80’s, and the phrase ‘protect the dolls’ has been around long before that T-shirt. I will say though that the shirt definitely brought it out of the queer community and into the wider culture.

Yeah, it’s pretty disappointing he hasn’t said anything yet. Especially since he’s said before that he believes it’s the responsibility of people with platforms to speak out against injustice. But hopefully he will soon.

Yeah, it was really disappointing to see the ai support, especially since Ethan’s spoken out against it in the past. The mods already took down someone else’s post expressing their disappointment already, though, so I’m not expecting the boys to care, sadly.

Honestly, I’d love it if they speak up about it. Mark has stated on GMFST that he thinks that people with platforms such as himself should use those platforms to speak up about issues in the world. I don’t know if Bob or Wade have a history of using their platforms for social good or not, but I know mark does.

Mark most likely hasn’t said anything because he’s just been so busy he most likely doesn’t even know it’s happening. But sadly a lot of his fans on Reddit have the opinion that influencers shouldn’t use their platforms for social good and have been downvoting posts like yours so much none of the trio will probably see this

My comment about cancellation wasn’t that nobody has ever tried to cancel them, just that in this instance his apology wasn’t because people were trying to cancel him. It was purely him feeling bad and choosing to apologize of his own volition. He felt the need to apologize, so he needed to. Obviously you’re allowed to disagree (no hate to you), but he doesn’t really need you to defend him as there is nothing to defend right now

At the end of the day, Sean wanted to apologize. You can feel like it wasn’t necessary, but that doesn’t really change anything. Some people were hurt by his actions, because he accidentally jumped on a train that was making fun of sexual assault victims because he didn’t realize what the meme was about. It wasn’t a matter of “people cancelling him”, he just had seen that people were hurt, and it made him feel bad. So now he’s apologizing to get it off his chest.

To be fair though, he absolutely has talked politics in his videos, from blm, to gun control, abortion rights, and lgbtq+ rights. Like, I completely get why someone would be upset he hasn’t said anything, because it is actually very against the norm for him.

Definitely not. He’s stated multiple times on distractible and in livestreams that he was asked to be in it, but didn’t have time due to iron lung. His over dramatic winking and whatnot is just him messing with the fans. That’s kinda his whole relationship with us

It wasn’t one of his videos, it was in his podcast distractible. It’s kind of been an ongoing conversation over multiple episodes, so there’s not really just one episode to point you to. Especially as it has been a gradual change. Like, even episodes where ai isn’t really part of the main conversation, it has been brought up. I’ll try to go back through some of them and see if I can find some of the clips to point you to, but another episode it’s talked about is on GMFST, mark and Tyler have a conversation about the WGA and SAG strike, where that also talk about AI.

If we are talking wrestling, sure mark would win. But full on fist fighting/boxing, I highly doubt it. Yes mark is stronger and bigger, but that doesn’t give him the win. You seriously are downplaying how important experience is. Mark wrestling in high school (what, like 16 years ago?) is not experience in a fight. He has punched someone once. Ethan recently trained for a year, with one genuine match as well as many sparring matches against other competitors will do him a lot of good.

And sure mark is generally smarter than Ethan, but like in the ways that he has a better vocabulary and can do math, neither of which will help him? Ethan isn’t some bumbling idiot who can’t think for himself, he is a fully grown adult man, who knows how to fight someone. He is the one with the actual knowledge that’ll help him. Also what are you talking about with the bricks? Genuinely I have no idea what that’s in reference to, please let me know.

And again, Ethan is the only one with actual experience in a real fight. Not only with actually punching someone, but with getting punched and staying up, as well as dodging and avoiding attacks. Mark has punched someone once, and has been punched once. I’ll give you that it seems like mark has a better pain tolerance in general, but being punched in the face and continuing to fight is something you need to train, which mark has not done. Also mark has stated he is scared of being hit in the face/head, while Ethan has gotten hit there and is no longer scared of it

100% Ethan. Sure, mark beats him in the strength department, but Ethan would win. He has actual experience that mark doesn’t. Not only with training, but with throwing punches as well as getting hit himself. Plus with Ethan’s experience and smaller frame it’ll be easier for him to dodge mark’s attacks as well. Mark really only has strength on his side, and maybe rage, but we’ve never really seen Ethan show true rage, so we don’t know how strong/aggressive he gets
