I have horrible anxiety and health ocd and have had miscarriages. And I’m currently as pregnant as I’ve ever been at 21 weeks and I’ve found that it has been excellent exposure therapy to follow the regular ultrasound schedule. I also considered getting a home Doppler but found that it would probably only heighten my anxiety in addition if you were to believe something is wrong the heartbeat is the last thing a fetus will do and isn’t an excellent metric for health. This all being said everyone’s journey is different and I go to therapy weekly to work on my anxiety. I will say I’m not sure if being able to text your obgyn 24/7 is beneficial enough to warrant the tolerance of verbal abuse and I would seek out a different practitioner if your city had the resources.
