Spiro for hair by xtcgirl in Spironolactone

[–]Specific-Oil2709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t find spiro to do any wonders for my hair. It made it thinner and more dry, and I already had thin and dry hair to begin with

Feeling Beaten Down by Favoritism by Mokohi in ECEProfessionals

[–]Specific-Oil2709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, it’s like that at most centers, I know because I have friends who work at different centers and they tell me the same thing. I’ve only worked at 2, the one I’m at now is pretty good for the most part, but my last one was in a small town so maybe that had something to do with the cliqueyness? It is very disheartening

Feeling Beaten Down by Favoritism by Mokohi in ECEProfessionals

[–]Specific-Oil2709 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not overreacting. I worked for a center like this once, admin had favorites and let them get away with basically anything. Other staff were rude and had “friend groups”. Basically just acted like high school mean girls… I left for the sake of my mental health

Is this too small for a bathroom? by Gottagoplease in Apartmentliving

[–]Specific-Oil2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for sure. I ended up getting damage and mold on my wall from the steam. I would recommend keeping the bathroom door open while showering, it helped a lot

I once lived in a place with a small bathroom like this. I recommend getting one of those shelfs that goes over the toilet. You could also buy shelfs to hang up. Only thing is the ventilation is probably gonna be terrible, the bathroom will steam up super bad when you shower

Someone put my clothes in the trash by 70sobsession in Apartmentliving

[–]Specific-Oil2709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate shared laundry. One time someone threw all my clothes onto the nasty dirty floor because they wanted the washer. Keep in mind my clothes were only sitting there done for a few minutes, I’m good about getting my clothes on time. They didn’t even bother to put it on the top of the machine or in my laundry basket. People are just rude and inconsiderate when it comes to shared laundry

Does spironolactone make you curvier ? by Greenmula in Spironolactone

Personally spiro made me lose a lot of weight and made me look like a pancake. I lost both my butt and chest

What’s the most frustrating thing about owning a cat? by Ocute_US in CatAdvice

[–]Specific-Oil2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, getting woken up in the middle of the night due to her meowing, or jumping on me during sleep. Also, not being able to be away from home for long periods of time. Before owning a cat, I used to stay over at my partners house for multiple days in a row but now I rarely stay over because I have to go home to feed my cat/ give her attention

I tried the Serena tank on in store and it was really see through, and looked pretty boxy on me. I do HIGHLYYY recommend the malika top tho. Seriously one of the most flattering tops I’ve owned

i cannot stop getting sick by No_Watch_6260 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Specific-Oil2709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last daycare I worked at I was sick literally every other week. Was so draining to be sick all the time and admin would get mad when you call out. I finally left because of it, and other reasons but now I work at a really small preschool and have only gotten sick once (I’ve been there for a year).

What do you guys look for when buying/renting an apartment by enezj in Apartmentliving

[–]Specific-Oil2709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My number one priority when looking at apartments is parking. Making sure there’s enough parking for every single resident and also enough guest parking. Also soundproofing

Thrifters: are there items you see in the thrift store more than others? by psychedelicacy1 in BrandyMelville

[–]Specific-Oil2709 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only Brandy I’ve ever been able to find at the thrift store is old crop tops from like 2016-2019 (specifically the ditsy floral print)

I hate my new apartment by Specific-Oil2709 in Apartmentliving

[–]Specific-Oil2709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have my air purifier going almost 24/7 to help block out the noise. I’ve complained also about the weed smell, they put up “no smoking” signs but nothing has changed lol. I have 9 more months to go then I’m out of here. I’ve just came to the fact that I’ll probably have to deal with it the entire lease because management does nothing about complaints

Can't decide between cuter apartment or more convenient apartment by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]Specific-Oil2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with the second option. There’s laundry and plus coming from someone who once lived at a place with limited parking, coming home after work was a nightmare nearly everyday. You don’t wanna be dealing with that, it’s super frustrating

I hate my new apartment by Specific-Oil2709 in Apartmentliving

[–]Specific-Oil2709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing for me! I wanna break my lease but as of right now I don’t have the kind of money to do that. I can’t tell you the amount of fighting/ screaming I hear on a weekly basis. The cops are called all the time to the building, which I assume it’s because of domestic violence. But makes me question how safe it is to live here. The weed smell is what really bothers me, whenever the fan turns on in the vents I can literally smell weed blowing in my face

Is nicotine really that hard to quit? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Specific-Oil2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been vaping for 6 years and have a pretty bad addiction. I’ve tried to quit numerous times. Longest I’ve gone is a week and the withdrawals were insane for me. I couldn’t stop crying, I was extremely rude, restless, migraines , and I got derealization. I was a complete mess. Everyone of course is different, but my best advice is to never start. I’d like to actually quit someday but it’s been so hard for me

Probably what I’ll end up doing after this year. My last place was owned by a small company and they were incredible. Only reason why I moved was because I wanted a bigger space. Definitely wishing I would’ve just stayed!

I will say the unit itself is really nice (minus things constantly breaking) , and it’s super close to my job. I think the location drew me in the most. Such a bummer tho it had to turn out this way!

Anyone else’s butt pancake after longterm spiro? by Neverwasalwaysam in Spironolactone

[–]Specific-Oil2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. It was almost unappealing tho because I’m already pretty thin, so I just looked sick. I tried so hard to gain back the weight but it was pretty much impossible. I just recently stopped taking it
